The Dolmen of Beaumer of Carnac !!!

There is so much architecture and history around here enough for a blog on its own! Let me go again into my road warrior mode and take you down to lovely Carnac. I have written on the megaliths stones before but not much on this one which deserves attention and it is very close to me. New found pictures in my cd rom vault that needs to be in my blog for you and me,3 Therefore, let me tell you a bit on the Dolmen of Beaumer of Carnac !! Hope you enjoy it as I.

The dolmen de Beaumer is located on the Chemin de Beaumer, hamlet of Beaumer part of the City of Carnac, which is only 3 km from Carnac Bourg City center and Carnac Plage or beachside, From the beachside you go along the Avenue des Druides bear left onto Chemin de Beaumer and see the dolmen on your right hand side,

The Dolmen de Beaumer just standing there rather cutely in the middle of the hamlet The dolmen is of the passage grave type, with its entrance likely located to the east. Only four orthostats remain, supporting a single capstone which bears marks on its outer face of attempted quarrying, as well as numerous cup marks.

The word dolmen comes from Breton: *toal* for table, *men* for stone. A stone table, then. here, we are talking about Neolithic funerary monuments, built between 5000 and 2000 BC. A seemingly simple architecture: large horizontal slabs, supported by upright pillars, forming a burial chamber, often covered by a cairn (a mound of stones). Inside some dolmens, pottery, tools, and polished axes have been found.

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
