My boy Rex, our dog, part III !!!

This is again a memorable opportunity to talk about my faithful companion, men best friend indeed, This is the saga of Rex, our dog, I like to tell you more from older post condense into this one using older pictures from my blog, He came into my life in a sad moment and he has been magical, I like to tell you again about my boy Rex,our dog, part III !!! Hope you enjoy this post as I.

We went out as was about time to give my lovable dog Rex his grooming, The salon Pattes de Velours, (velvet paws )  in Vannes handle by our former groomer of Brec’h ,we went right in and it was a wonderful experience talking and the grooming of Rex, he was confortable and nice the whole way, My adorable Rex is now 8 years and 8 months old border collier/labrador mix or Borador !! Part of our family we love him dearly ! Chosen by my dear late wife Martine who gave him his name from a police series in Europe.

The last two grooming salon we went had closed and I was looking for a new one, Best to ask in my town’s FB page for a recommendation and several jump in to do so, Once I read, there was a new salon in Vannes handle by the former groomer of Brec’h we went right in and it was a wonderful experience talking and the grooming of Rex, he was confortable and nice the whole way, The lady there is Mathilda Le Conte, which gather she is from even nearer Camors, her grooming salon is call Pattes de Velours, (velvet paws ) a salon open since Thursday June 1, 2023, She is trained in canine, feline and NAC grooming, she will take care of dogs, cats, rabbits, and even guinea pigs. Bath, cut, shear: beauty right down to the tips of their claws. It will also offer mud treatments and balneotherapy, intended for example for sporting dogs or dogs suffering from osteoarthritis. The salon Pattes de Velours is located at 24, rue de la Tannerie, Vannes. Open Monday, 14h to 18h. I always had dogs in my single life; and even as I was married back in 1990 with my Frenchie Martine. Once boys came to be all 3 of them I stopped having them and gave my former dog Maite to my parents. As my boys became older, the need to have a dog grew , but my wife wanted none of it. Finally, we convince her as the boys also wanted a dog. She was very enthusiastic once the decision taken, and was the first one to go and buy him a bed ,and ball toys etc. Unfortunately, she could not enjoy it fully as passed away from cancer. My boy Rex is my legacy of her and it is treated like a son in our house.

He is Rex, we got him from a dairy farm near me at 4 mos old a mix Border Collier and Labrador as commonly call Boradors. He is as gentle and protective as can be expected from  a farm dog.  He is fully black with white toes and 31 kg or about 68 pounds healthy as he can be with regular visits to the Vet at the Clinique Vétérinaire de Pluvigner with gourmet type dog food at Maxi Zoo store and to eat outs all very good. with now a store closer to us in Auray as well as another one in Vannes,

My boys takes him to the local big park Goh Lanno which of course I have written before on all the previous places above.  And he is very goood boy , very gentle , loving and we love him back hugely. We are lucky to live in a house with a huge patio 1000 sq meters or about 10760 sq feet. That is him below with a neighbor apple in his mouth lol!!

He likes Goh Lanno but also the pointe des Immigrés littoral park in Vannes! And right now we cannot think of doing nothing without him. And gladly ,nowdays there is plenty here to go around with a dog.  He is still laying down by me as always the protective guy, if I leave the chair he follows me everywhere in the house even the toilet which I need to close the door or he goes in too lol!!

Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
