WordPress, you and me 2025 !!!

Right off the bat, I thank you very much for reading my blog, Paris1972-Versailles2003. This blog kept me busy and has been uplifting and deeply appreciate all comments and likes over the years since 26 November 2010! There has been some old virtual friends gone and some new ones I see, all welcome and glad you made my day in time. I started on WordPress after advice from an American friend living in Madrid for over 30 years who told me it was easy to work for the non technical guy in me and it has been wonderful , thanks to you all, Of course, as you know, will do this post in my black and white series, no pictures. Therefore, here is my usual rant on WordPress ,you and me 2025 !!! Hope you enjoy it as I.

Many good well wishes for 2026.  It will be better than 2025 so may all your hopes and dreams come true in good health. We stay home as in the last wishing you all a very very Happy New Year and best wishes to all. Another year goes by, and 2025 was another with less in the family, now alone with my 3 boys, and our good dog Rex, The good is that I am already in full retirement from USA, and France, The sensations are weird, glad to finally enjoy more free time, and spent more time at home ,but also sad that my travels have been reduce with no more business trips to far away lands. Looking forward to a bit of good fortune and a longer life than my parents and wife, to share with my young men, and dog Rex.

I like to give out some statistics that nicely WordPress give us and I look at it every year at least. Again thank you all for your kind comments and likes, really appreciated.

As of 31 December, 2025 , I had gone up in views and visits ! First  68 389 views, 37 730 visits, and 25 342 likes and 529 comments. I had written 1097 posts! And have so far 1231 followers which has gone beyond my wildest expectations! Thank you again, I have deleted some who do not share or partake on the blog no need to follow just to look, Behold I have DCMA copyright warnings on all my pictures,(see page),

Top 10 countries followers for 2025 were: USA, China, France, UK, India, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Canada, and Finland

My top search engines were: WordPress Reader, Google Search, Facebook, Bing, yahoo Search, Duckduckgo, Google Android, Chapgpt, Yandex,and Ecosia,

There are a total of 1 page not visible but on footer, 15 categories of posts and 15 tags with 6 favorite outside links not visible in the new theme !. There are over 70 000 photos already here wow!!! 69% of memory space taken ! My best viewing day is Saturday. and the best time is 20h or 8 pm !! The best day viewed still is December 10, 2012! with 977 views !!! Still hard to beat do not know what happened that day lol !! There are 6 steady commentators and ,you know who you are , and my wish is to have more comments, constructive comments that is. My most view post was surprise last year was WordPress, you and me 2024 !!! with 1000 views !!!

My New Year 2026 was at home again, no desire to go out and do anything just another day another year for me. I watch the wonderful festivities from Paris and Madrid, at home, We are now less at home my Dad Elio (87,5) was the last one, before my wife Martine (59,5)and first my Mom Gladys ( -73). I am missing them all, even if life needs to go on for the boys and the loving good they taught me. This blog is part of my soothing doing what we love to do most, travel,

I am a lover of travels to Europe , Americas , Africa and Asia as well ,who like to share my experiences of the last 53 years with the world, visiting so far 81 countries; living in 6, working in 5, and Citizen of 4, speaking fluently 4 languages. I can deal with sports especially football/soccer and love music, arts, wine collector/drinker, and go out to restaurants, and just visit the world. My background comes all the way from Candelaria and Pajara in Tenerife, Spain where my grandparents came from ;not knowing each other then, to Punta Brava, west of Havana, Cuba. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
