As my blog is part of my life history and all the wonderful travels done with my family and alone throughout the years, I had the sad news to announce the passing of my dear wife Martine, Of course this has to be part of my blog, and updating its text for me. Therefore short but my most difficult post on the memories forever, in memoriam my sweet Frenchie !!! Hope you appreciate the post as I,
My first trip out with my dear late wife Martine was showing me her route to work by the Gare de l’Est, Paris. Memories forever !!!! We were married in Daytona Beach Fl USA on December 26 1990, It reminds me that 14 years ago (November 26 2010) , a group of friends from an online travel forum VT now part of TA, asked me to write a book or a blog on my travel experiences. Well, it was nice, but me a book lol!! My writing is rambling all over, just could not be done. However, a blog well maybe. Had an American friend living in Madrid for many years, who was into these blogs thingy and recommended to me WordPress because it was easy to set up me not tech oriented. So it was done as Paris1972-Versailles2003.com came about with the name of Paris as my first year visited the city while living in Madrid. The year of Versailles is from when came to live in France permanently. The blog have been entertaining thanks to all those readers “like” and comments ; I really enjoy it, and has a wonderful pain killer.
As my Martine was from Meaux, Seine et Marne dept 77 of the Île de France region of my belle France, I have no words when called by the doctor at 19h (7pm) April 30 2018 to informed me of her passing at Chubert Hospital (Bretagne Atlantique) in Vannes. It was/is and will be a very sad moment for me for a wonderful huge beautiful 28 years of marriage and 3 wonderful good boys who are very close to me and we supported each others strongly as the closest family on her side is around 7 hours from us and my family is thousands of miles away. My Mom Gladys had passed away on December 27, 2007 and my Dad Elio passed away on January 7, 2023, The house is much lonely soothed by our good dog Rex who is a border collier mix labrador now 6 yrs old, We have been a close family since marriage as my parents guarded my boys while we worked and they were retired already,
I have come to appreciate more the fact that I am French and live in this wonderful country. I thank my Martine for that, and will continue to showcase my love for France (if anything to honor her). The French family came to her crematorium at Plescop which in these times is when the real friends show up and I am very glad have a bunch. Her ashes as my parents were spread out at sea off Honfleur, Normandy, I had the extreme priviledge of meeting her by August 1989 writing letters and phone calls later until met in Meaux in 1990.
I did this post to remind me and read it often, now updating it on text and a picture of her home where first met her 36 Rue Noefort, Meaux (see pic trail to back garden) living then with her maternal grandmother who raised since 10 when her father Pierre passed away from an auto accident on the snow coming from Toulouse, Farewell my Martine ,we will not forget your staunch positive aptitude and so much caring for us . As we had said many times, we take our motto from Alexandre Dumas Three Muskeeteers , ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE. We are together thanks to your example and strenght. God bless you my mamie blue, and may the angels keep you great company as you look after us from your resting place.

Thank you all my readers to make it so comfortable to enjoy myself telling you all the good things about my travels. I am continuing my blog thanks to all and my desire to tell all the wonderful places we have been and to remind ourselves of those we have not .This is not a typical post but then again is a must to do, There you go folks, hope you appreciate the meaning of this post as I
And remember, happy travels, good health, and many cheers to all !!!
Poignant memories.
