In the world of my books, Patricia Lyfoung belongs to the category of artists who have found their place after having had the feeling of being “seated between two chairs” for a long time, in her terms. Its flagship series, La Rose écarlate or the scarlet rose, whose twentieth volume appeared in November 2023 at Delcourt editions, is the best illustration. The 47 -year -old author is indeed one of the first French comics to openly claim a manga influence , A time when the genre was neither so flourishing nor plethora on the hexagonal market. The adventures of Maud de La Roche, a volume of which appears on average each year, were a success without appeal: in 2015, the series had exceeded 1.2 million copies sold in French.
