The foodie at Conleau, Vannes !!!

We come by here always, and we ate here , enjoy it here ,ride boats here, and the pool , our dog Rex now love it !!,This is awesome, a must to visit , wonderful spot on a peninsula near the City of Vannes and part of it, I took some pictures from other posts to do this one as needs credit for what they are and the memories of always , Therefore, here is my take onthe foodie at Conleau ,Vannes !!! Hope you enjoy this post as I

For years we came and walk, and swam, and came again also, with our dog Rex, and when hungry we had choices, Taking the traditional colorful Créperie La Guinguette, probably the best spot for eating in my opinion.

If you wanted a more upscale setting one that I have come even for business meeting with my boss and up then go to the hotel  Best Western at the tip of Conleau, the local name is Le Roof restaurant or the Conleau Cafe same building , For lighter fare,go the cafe and more heavy go for the restaurant, There is, also, a nice bar area. We have tried them and are good,

The site now occupied by “Le Roof” was originally home to a restaurant and casino known as the *Nouveau Café de Conleau*. In 1923, Henry Mollé purchased the establishment and transformed it into a restaurant he named “Le Roof”; at the time, the island lacked mains electricity and telephone connections. In 1987, the couple who still live in a house near the *Café de Conleau* today sold the business to Mr. Raboin. The new owner planned to expand this exceptional venue and turn it into a luxury hotel, commissioning the construction of a second building on the property. The hotel grew to feature 40 rooms and 125 square meters of lounge space. After several months of renovation, the reopening in 1989 saw the Le Roof upgraded from a two-star to a three-star establishment. Prince Albert of Monaco, footballer Zinedine Zidane, singers Johnny Hallyday and Renaud, and actors Franck Dubosc and Antoine Duléry have all stayed at the hotel and signed its prestigious guestbook. Even the illustrator Uderzo came to visit the “Veneti cousins” of Asterix and Obelix, taking the opportunity to illustrate the guestbook. By now a classic in my area,

After several years La Guinguette ,see above, closed sadly, and now there is a new resto 1930 that have not try yet, but runds along the same line of food but it has been transforms into a winter chalet with the installation of four gondola lift cabins ; two for 6–7 people and two for 3–4 people. Head to Van Thorens ! An unique experience if coming from the cold !

At times we, have, also tried the Corlazo Café ;Allée du Dr-François-Salomon facing the pool . Nice setting and small cozy place, really enjoyable, Housed in a former shipyard with a nautical charm, this restaurant blends authenticity and relaxation, offering a sunny terrace, a roaring fireplace, and a stunning view of the Gulf of Morbihan.
