The Fondation Villa Datris-Espace Monte Carlo of Paris !!!

This I heard about it but not inclined to go at first. Then, in my glorious rides and walks in my eternal Paris saw it! The idea of contemporary arts is not a major attraction for me but with friends in the know-how everything is easier so I went, A wonderful place still in the off the beaten path of Paris, worth the detour me think, I found me a picture in my cd rom vaults that should be in my blog for you and me, Therefore, here is my take on the Fondation Villa Datris-Espace Monte Carlo of Paris !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I,

Since 2018 the Espace Monte-Cristo is dedicated to promoting contemporary sculpture with the mission of exhibiting and spreading the word about the works of the Fondation Villa Datris Collection. Entry is free and open to all and its program of events invites visitors to experiment and discover the world of contemporary sculpture from a different angle. Situated at the heart of the Père-Lachaise quartier or neighborhood of the 20éme district or arrondissement of Paris in an old industrial warehouse extending over 300 sq. Meters, every year the Espace Monte-Cristo explores a new theme through surprising and original exhibitions devoted to the works of the Collection.

The Espace Monte-Cristo in Paris, opened in 2014, has been dedicated since 2018 to promoting the collections of the Villa Datris Foundation, founded in 2010 in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, in the Vaucluse dept 84. It holds temporary thematic exhibitions, ideal for presenting historical collections and recent acquisitions. The permanent collections, featuring major figures and emerging artists, reflect the taste of its founders, Danièle Kapel-Marcovici, director of the RAJA group, one of Europe’s leading packaging companies, and Tristan Fourtine, architect.(passed away in 2013), The focus is on kinetic and optical arts, the links between sculpture and architecture, and abstraction. The current collection includes more than two hundred works associated with the major artistic movements of the 20C and 21C. The diversity of works, mediums, and artists finds a convergent point in the collector’s eye. In 2025: A Thousand and One Lives, explores the human in sculptures through an immersive journey, the works question our social nature, our intimacy, and our universality, offering a three-dimensional vision of what defines them.
