The Fromagerie Saint Goal of Pluvigner !!!

Most of us write about far away lands we visit, but seldom about the one we live in, I have lived in 5 countries/ worked in 4, and citizen of 4, having visited 81 countries so far and all have an impact on my life, Needless, to say the meaning of Pluvigner is big on my family. I had written several post on our lives here, and the culinary heritage is strong. Not to lose the memories and sights of my dear Pluvigner in my beautiful Morbihan of my lovely Bretagne ,and in my belle France, Therefore, here is my take on the Fromagerie Saint Goal of Pluvigner !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The Fromagerie Saint-Goal located in Botdrein,a hamlet of Pluvigner. The farm shop is named Ty Boutik, The farm and cheese dairy is in my town about 5 km from my house, I passed by it several times in the week and stop by once in a while to load myself of goat or chévre products from cheeses to yogurts and other items such as ciders and cold meat from dear etc, Just awesome, We have come to know the owners well , their daughter who sometimes help in the farm unless traveling, Always very friendly nice folks that is a pleasure to be back,

They have about 280 Saanen goats, the white ones, like those of Monsieur Seguin. They claim to be with the goats every day, yes, even on weekends, holidays, and Christmas. They are there to feed them, care for them, observe them, keep them clean, take them out to pasture in the summer, and milk them twice a day, every day of the year. Their feed is primarily produced on their 45 hectares: 30 hectares are used for forage production, and between 5 and 10 hectares are cultivated with cereals to supplement their diet. They buy non-GMO and palm oil-free feed supplements because believe these crops are very harmful to the environment. Their well-being, as well as our own, is essential. That’s why they are modernizing the farm and evolving so that they and their goats can constantly thrive in the best possible conditions.

We can tell the investment done as already a huge modern barn is done to house the goats and another big barn for the production and store sale, You can participate in the milking and cuddle fo the goats, come along during Ty Boutik’s opening hours on Fridays from 16h to 18h30 as we came today,

Cathy and Emmanuel Dousselin frolic in the surrounding meadows. Only the youngest goats remain. In the countryside , the two farmers of Gaec Saint Goal welcome visitors. Cathy Dousselin’s yogurts from Fromagerie Saint-Goal were awarded not one, but three gold medals by the jury of the Lyon International Competition. Last year, the vanilla bean yogurt had already caught the eye of the experts. This year, it confirms its success with another gold medal, as do two other varieties: tonka bean and buckwheat. These unique flavors give these goat’s milk yogurts a delicate taste and a very mild mouthfeel. The semi-dry log also won a silver medal at the 2025 International Competition.

The real deal we loaded on different types of goat cheeses, and raclette style goat cheese, condense goat milk with honey, deer paté, ciders, spreadable cheeses etc All good stuff the real food of my beautiful Morbihan, in my lovely Bretagne of my belle France !

Again, hope you enjoy this post on the Fromagerie Saint Goal of Pluvigner !!! as I

And remember, happy travels, good health , and many cheers to all !!!

    À ces mots, le Corbeau ne se sent pas de joie ;
