WordPress you and me, 2017-2021 !!!

For the past 14 years (Nov 2010) I had written posts in my blog Paris1972-Versailles2003 ,and at the end of each year WordPress our host give us some numbers on what have been done for the previous year. Do not know if they are going to do it again this year, but I am one step ahead. I have decided to combine some older post on this series that were lost in my laberynth of posts always difficult to find even for me, Therefore, here is my take on WordPress you and me 2017-2021 !!! I have been given statistics from WordPress you and me 2017 !!! telling me I had 474 570 views and 111 392 visitors to my blog :wow!! thank you all. Already written 1165 post huff!! that is a lot of writing lol! My highest view day was back in December 2010 when wrote a post on the Churches of Versailles ,977 views that day !!! The most often time folks look into my blog are on Tuesdays by 10h (10am)! My biggest categories/Tags are France, Paris, Bretagne,and Versailles ho ho ho…. Counting 375 followers of my blog, which I am very much appreciate for the encouragement to continue the work of love of writing in it. Thank you all. My biggest search engines looking for the blog are Google, Yahoo, and Bing. The biggest attractive posts are, well thanks again it is VERSAILLES! The post on Favorite Restaurants of Versailles, Rive Droite Versailles (my district!! wow!), and Versailles celebration of the year of André Le Nôtre the gardener of France (born in the Tuileries of Paris). The year just finish of 2017 saw having 23 250 views and 9 844 Visitors with record breaking likes 1354 and comments 272!!! Thanks again. The countries IP that reads my blog the most are: USA , France , UK, Germany, Spain, Canada, Italy, Brazil, Netherlands, and Poland. Thank you folks !!

WordPress you and me 2019 !!! was very special ;my first full year alone with my boys having lost my dear late wife Martine in 2018. Time they tell me soothes the pain, actually is the other way around but we go on with responsabilities and challenges into 2020. Many rich exchanges with folks of many lands over the years. I thank you all. Really, when I started no where could I believe I would reach 775 blog followers and so many nice comments. And I thank you all. So far 2588 posts articles in my blog and more than 40K photos!! Do not know how far can I go as already using 74% of my memory capacity in WordPress ,..and it becomes expensive afterward. Some numbers wordpress blog give us tells me that in 2019 I had 35 556 views, 17742 visitors, 11959 likes and 1184 comments. My most view posts were Some news from France XCXXXV  192 Notre Dame Cathedral update Aug19 185, and Somport tunnel port and peaks 139, and My best restaurants in Versailles 122. My most visitors by country were USA 10 928 (figure they would follow me), France 4562 (surprise indeed as wrote the blog in English), UK 3751, India 1345, Spain 1258 , Germany 1153.

WordPress you and me 2021 !!! was the culmination of a lot of efforts on my blog, After already not counting this one, 3 824 posts in my blog, come to realize my best viewing day is Sunday…. and the best time is 9h or 9am!! The best day viewed was December 10, 2012! with 972 views!!! A record hard to beat ! My best view pages or posts for 2021 have been: A look back of history, a Palace in the Tuileries!, Some streets of Versailles !!! , and My college days in Florida-ERAU !!! The most view post all time has been Versailles and it’s historical Churches with 172!!!! ,Which since, I have split into individual posts ! Again , a record hard to beat !! I have 974 other blogs following mine an honor! ,thank you all. I have cut down a lot as do not like folks just hanging on, need to have exchanges, views ,comments stories, suggestions that is part of traveling folks ! Anyway, never in my wildest dreams would I thought to have these many reading my blog wow! There are about 15 steady commentators and the top 10 are well known you know who you are , and my wish is to have more comments, constructive comments that is. The countries that have most folks viewing my blog are in order: USA, France, UK, India, Belgium, Spain, Canada, Italy, Netherlands, and Australia! Thanks!!! In actuality, it covers the world with many many countries in fact for 2021 counted 148 !!The year of great activity with most views was 2012 with 120 701, and the one with the most visitors was 2013 with 27 140, the most likes , and comments was 2021 !! In 2021 , I had 48 635 views , 23 487 visitors, 26 977 likes, and 832 comments. . Another good year me think, Thank you!!! There are a total of 7 pages on front page, 15 categories of posts and 15 tags with 7 favorite outside links in the blogroll . There are over 50 000 photos already here wow!!! 49,3% of memory space taken !

I named my blog as it is because my very first encounter with Paris was in the summer of 1972! I was a young teenager living in Madrid who came to Paris with a group of adults as it was the year of the movie « Last Tango in Paris » with Marlon Brando and Maria Schneider !!!, a classic still today, me think, It was a trip of one day in and out and full of youthful fun !!! We really made a mess of that train coming from
Chamartin train station in Madrid to Gare d’Austerlitz station in Paris on the night train. Then, I came back started visiting Paris and else since 1990 meeting a wonderful frenchie from Meaux (77) ,I came as already French citizen to live in France permanently (from Florida USA) ,this was in August 2003 to our beloved Versailles, so a fitting name me think, We moved again, to Brittany and the Morbihan Breton in June 2011. Finally, living in Pluvigner since 2013. All is well full steam ahead. A bit about me, well citizen/lived domicile (passport holder) of 4 countries, visited 81, worked in 4, and speak 4 fluent languages,

We live now in the region of Bretagne, department 56 Morbihan, town of Pluvigner for the last 11 years already more than my average per domicile in my life!! Bretagne or Brittany or Breizh has been good to us overall and we have a decision to make whether continue here or move on in retirement. I am here since June 2011 and at the house since August 2013. The blog was an idea of friends from a travel forum now gone VT, they encourage me to write a book or do a blog. Lol! a book is too much for my little creative mind so a blog looked more easily done. Contacted an American friend living in Madrid who was already doing these things and asked him for one easy platform to do a blog; and he recommended
WordPress , and life goes on from there…this was back in November 26 ,2010 , Thrills many for many years up to today,

Therefore, I like to thank you all and wish you and yours the best in your future endeavors. Thank you for sharing with my adventures and tastes , the nostalgic way of writing on things and the sometimes repeated posts with a different twist lol! In all, to put up with this guy…. I am a lover of travels to Europe , Americas , Africa and Asia as well ,who like to share my experiences of the last 53 years with the world, visiting so far 81 countries; living in 6, working in 5, and Citizen of 4, speaking fluently 4 languages. I can deal with sports especially football/soccer and love music, arts, wine collector/drinker, and go out to restaurants, and just visit the world. My background comes all the way from Candelaria and Pajara in Tenerife, Spain where my grandparents came from ;not knowing each other then, to Punta Brava, west of Havana, Cuba. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting. Moving average a home every 5.5 years hopefully this will be my last. Cheers All rights reserved.
