There is plenty of connection to come to the park and even from our dear Meaux, however, we always come by car, the road warrior best way, The RER A line to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station located between the theme parks and Disney Village. It also goes to Gare de Lyon. Free shuttle buses provide transport to all Disney hotels and Les Villages Nature® Paris , and Davy Crockett Ranch, but we have the parking included in our ticket so we go by car as well We get there on the autoroute/highway A4 exit/sortie 14 as we always do heading for the hotels first.
Disneyland Paris has two parks , Disneyland Park, and Walt Disney Studios Park, and nature resorts Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch, and Villages Nature Paris, which we have used and recommend. For shopping and dining out you have Disney Village, an entertainment district containing a variety of restaurants, entertainment venues and shops. And the nearby Val d’Europe, a shopping center (mall) with a variety of outlet shops and large department stores. Including the Sea Life Aquarium.
The experiences were very memorable and lasting, as my sons still remember the trip. We had nice rooms , great restaurants and game room space, a wonderful indoor heated swimming pool and gym as well as free parking and free transportation to the Disney Village etc. And we did visit Disneyland Paris in its initial runs, to compare it we had been back several times. The nostalgia of having visited Walt Disney in Orlando Florida about 20 times lol !! still ranks it a bit behind but still for Europe is a must at least once and why not more; the place has change so much today its totally different and the biggest attendance attraction in France; the most visited country in the world by UN-WTO official standards.
Now , as life moves on it was our first hotel here and it was called the Holiday Inn Disneyland and later change to Vienna Magic Circus Hotel with the same game rooms, circus decoration, large good resto and the best the indoor heated swimming pool with all facilities and amenities the kids love it. I had several meetings held there when working with the hotel chain IHG, and the memories and friendship has withstood the time gone, good people, recommended. On later trips we stayed in the Village Nature natural site off the Disney property but associated hotel, Then, the last couple of times we have stayed marvelous at the Davy Crockett Ranch an official Disney property,
Some tips, it is always better to be there ahead of opening time, even if waiting in line for most shows open 10h but check the season you are coming for the hours as they can change and be there at least 30 min opening time shown, you will be ahead of the crowds. Have planning with your family the rides ,attractions you want to see most, and head for those first upon entering. Hold your lunches late, as when they are eating you are in ::) Bring picnic items , there is a picnic section just before entering the park to your left, or coming out of the RER A turn to your left as if going out of the park and the picnic area will be on your right. Buy the tickets ahead of time,at the Disney webpage as include always the forfait entry tickets, parking and hotels.
You might want to know, Marne-la-Vallée Chéssy where the resort was built, was for many years agricultural and unused lands,in the region of my dear late wife Martine (Seine et Marne dept 77) . It has become just like Orlando, FL did , a humming ground of buildings houses, apartments, stores, shops, malls, growing every month. People ask me when is best times, well difficult question but the Disney folks tells you to plan to stay mid-week Tuesdays to Thursdays during mid-January through mid-March or mid-April through mid-May. No matter we have gone outside those dates and just as good me think, in fact less crowds.
