This is a beautiful lively area of my capital city. I always come by here even for a walk. Most of the businesses that we patronize are close by and today was no exception. Let me tell you a bit more on the Le Port of Vannes, part I !!! Hope you enjoy it as I.

Popular with locals and visitors alike boaters and tourists thanks to its location in the heart of the city, the Marina is equipped with many facilities: harbormaster cultural kiosk, tourist office, green area  and underground parking le Port. If you want to see lively action in Vannes ,you need to come here day or night. The port of Vannes is a commercial port, a passenger port and a Marina located north of the Gulf of Morbihan along a 1 200 meters channel that leads the boats from the commercial port of Pont-Vert to the afloat basin , at the foot of the Porte Saint-Vincent, entrance gate of the old town of Vannes. The port is a lively area of the town of Vannes.   The center town Le Port is a lively and urban district of Vannes, covering an area of 1.5 km². It has many corners of greenery such as the Parc de la Garenne, the Butte de Kérino and the Jardin de Limur. See posts.

The port of Vannes ; at the end of a 1,200 meters long channel, the Vannes marina with its harbor master’s office, its cultural kiosk, its green spaces, its restaurants and its long walks, it is undoubtedly one of the most popular areas of the inhabitants of the city.  The port is the beating heart of the city of Vannes. An unmissable place that embodies the famous Vannes lifestyle. The 
port of Vannes is therefore a very pleasant district to live in for its proximity to the sea, the charm of its half-timbered houses, the nearby intramural, its activities, schools / high schools … the list of assets of this district is long! The capital city of the Morbihan dept 56, Vannes has its own right bank rive droite left bank rive gauche. Two shores, two atmospheres! The right bank is  known for its famous Promenade de la Rabine with its long avenue of trees that borders the water to the Kerino bridge. And the left bank is after the harbormaster, the quartier or neighborhood of Faubourg de Calmont. Lovely areas indeed. And one of our favorite parking spots is up this promenade! for free!! This time was not a happy moment thus, My Dad Elio had a recurrant on his cerebral infactus or AVC Cerebrale and is in coma at the CHBA hospital of Vannes. The doctor tells me he is fighting and improving a bit but still too early, more tests next week. A loving father and grandfather that I had the priviledge to have and take care as my Mom asked me to do before she left this world in 2007. Now its all up to God. I will stay home with my 3 sons. Eventually he passed away in Jan 23rd 2023 at a good 87 years old

There you go folks,could have been my usual happy post but is not. As said, the blog is my life’s history all of it, ups and downs, good and not so good . There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
