Well this will be brief but for me is important to have in my blog. I have written about the sights and eateries and things to do in beautiful Nantes but forgot this one.. Therefore the text is new and the pictures are old. One of the souvenirs of visiting the city and not always in one day as it is only about 1h30 from my house. However, did stayed there glorious.
The family was always asking to spend more time in Nantes and we just doing my usual road warrior trips in and out bang and next please… Well the other half won and this time we spent a night in Nantes. What better way to use the Accor hotel chain and one its best the Mercure hotels.
I took them there by car as also been there by train. The car ride is always smooth and the Mercure Centre Grand Hotel has an excellent underground parking garage that I use. From there easy walking all over lol!
The Mercure Nantes Centre Grand Hotel at 4 rue du Couedic is in the heart of Nantes city center In the heart of the pedestrian streets, the hotel allows you to reach the sites of the city in a few minutes on foot. The proximity of trams, buses and the train station facilitates travel to the airport, while there is a nice private car park to delight travelers by car as we find out. The hotel bar, “4.44” invites you to relax and the restaurant well we went out to Chez Clément (now closed and there now L’Entrecôte ) on place Fleurot de l’Angle this time.
The hotel is just next to the Place Royale, and a less than 10-minute walk from the Château des Ducs de Bretagne as well as a bit over 1 km from Nantes train station which for us is doable on foot.

There you go folks, hope you can use the info , hightly recommended ,and I usually do not do this part, always leave it open to choices. The Mercure Centre Grand Hotel of Nantes is worth the detour.
And remember, happy travels, good health, and many cheers to all!!!
