Another memorable post needed to tell you of my former Yvelines , where I spent my first 9+ years in Versailles, but did went all over including this memorable city that I am glad found me new pictures that should be in my blog for you and me, The newer City of Saint Quentin en Yvelines is located in the department of Yvelines, no 78 in the Île-de-France region of my belle France. Talking about my former home ground of memorable times and road warrior thrills, the pictures here are from Montigny le Bretonneux but easily fit into Saint Quentin en Yvelines as the sites are across the street from each other in the new City configuration, see below, Therefore, let me tell you some random sites all found around the pictures shown,
By the Quai François Truffaut ,and the Passage Georges Méliés in Montigny-le-Bretonneux beautifully done landscaping deco (see pic) you find the musée de la ville , Carrousel Jules Verne (see pic), a very beautiful, authentic wooden carousel.
You have the Médiathèque Du Canal , and our fav Smile World Bowling inside the Espace le Crazy Hall centre commerciale with Carrefour, Armand Thiery, Inter Sports, Jeff de Brugge, La Casa de las Carcasas (phone covers), Leonidas, Micromania, Nocibé, Orange, pharmacy, Sephora, and Yves Rocher, Also, Paul, Mangos, Dunkin, and Crazy Hall, and Smile World (bowling),
Another memorable shopping center we came several times while living in Versailles was the SQY Ouest at 1 Av. de la Source de la Bièvre, We came many times to the UGC Cinécité (see post) one of the biggest in France with 16 showing rooms ,and now call Speed Park for bowling and pool play, Via A12, N286: exit St Quentin en Yvelines then follow signs for Centre Commercial Régional, park in Parking Bièvre
