I am again looking into my vault and found pictures hidden in other posts that should have one of its own, This is not far from me and need to tell you more of my beautiful Morbihan, and lovely Bretagne, in my belle France, When I came into the Morbihan they were two different towns, and later they merged into today’sTheix-Noyalo. Therefore, let me tell you about this is Theix-Noyalo !!! Hope you enjoy this post as I.
The town of Theix-Noyalo was formed by the merger of the villages of Theix and Noyalo in 2016. The main village Theix is situated on the RN 165 highway connecting Nantes and Brest. The town is 12 km from Vannes, 195 km from Brest, 102 km from Nantes,118 km from Rennes , and 44 km from my current home from where I came along the D768 road to connect with the N165 highway dir Nantes getting off at exit/sortie 23 dir Theix Noyalo into Rue Raymond Marcelin to City center and you can make a right turn on the roundabout onto Rue de Vannes and then Rue des Sports , then Rue de Rosmadec continue on Allée du Landy next roundabout continue straight onto Poteau Rouge road until see restaurant on your right hand side, plenty of parking,
What brought me here and then more was a curiosity driving by it several times, never stopping by as it on the run of the course to do things here. This time as nothing found to our liking along my road warrior trails ,looking to come into Vannes, well we saw Theix’as Bar in the nearby town of Theix-Noyalo , and finally stop in to a nice surprise. Fixed menu at 12,80€ all you can eat buffet entrée, main dish (mine was fish), dessert (mine créme brulée) , wash down with a nice cold Leffe blonde Belgian beer, nice price , good food, great friendly family service, will be back, eventually. This is lovely country resto and plenty of free parking and picnic tables too, camping cars are allowed on the parking. My boys ahead on first picture!

Some of the things to see here are the Brangolo Chapel; the Notre-Dame-la-Blanche Chapel in Theix; the Château du Plessis-Josso (see post) ; the Château de Salarün (dating from the 15-16C; the Château de Since (15C); the Bonervaud Manor (15-16C); the Granil Manor (15C and 17C); the Kerandrun Manor; the Kergo Manor (16C); the Kersapé Manor (16C); the Pérenno Manor (16C); and the Saint-André Manor (16-17C). The Noyalo tidal mill aka the “Pont Mill” or “Kerentrech Mill” has existed since at least the 16C. In addition see my posts on the Chapelles Notre Dame la Blanche and Sainte Anne, and the Church Sainte Cécile
A bit of history I like tell us that Theix originated from an ancient early parish that also encompassed Treffléan and part of Saint-Nolff (see posts). The first Christian missionaries arrived from the Bishopric of Tours during the 2C. In the Middle Ages, around twenty lordships occupied the territory of Theix, the most significant being Plessis-Josso, Salarun, and Bonervaud. Theix fell under the temporal authority of the Bishop of Vannes, remaining so until the French revolution. In 1887, a delegation of royalists from Vannes, Arradon, Plescop, Sarzeau, Theix, Île-aux-Moines, and Saint-Avé traveled to Jersey island (UK) to meet the Count of Paris, ( Prince Philippe of Orléans ) who was living there in exile. The town was established on January 1, 2016, through the merger of two villages the legal framework for communes nouvelles or new towns,
