The new train station of Auray, part III !!!

I heard of all about the renovations, and have passed by several times until now finally use the new beautiful train station or Gare d’Auray. I like to give you new pictures of the train station when use with my boys and dog on the Tire Bouchon or corkscrew train ride to Quiberon. Bringing back many memorable trips from/to it over the years in my beautiful Morbihan. Therefore , this is my new take on the new train station of Auray, part III !!!  Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The Gare d’Auray train station was my first train in the Morbihan dept 56 way back when I came into the area from Versailles, Yvelines dept 78. I needed to go on business trips and this was the closest station to my first foothold in the area at Brec’h. Even moving to Pluvigner early on I still use the station for my trips to Paris-Montparnasse, especially on TGV. Also, using TER from here for connections in Redon, Le Mans, or Rennes. Later on, there was plenty of parking and better schedules from Vannes so moved there for my trips.

And finally came back to actually use it, this time on the tire bouchon train ride to Quiberon and the beaches ! A Wonderful ride of 43 minutes and several stops along the way such as Belz-Ploemel , Plouharnel, Les Sables Blancs, Penthiévre, L’Isthme, Kerhostin, Saint Pierre Quiberon and Quiberon, terminus , It is only 5 euros roundtrip worth it and will look forward to do it again eventually,

We took the 12h08 time schedule and return by 17h16 time schedule in between walking around our fav Quiberon and having lunch at a new restaurant, stay tune for this, Again, worth to try it while in the area with plenty of schedules from certain dates in June, and September, Also, from June 29th to July 3rd and Monday August 31st, We were even able to see the conductor ! The fares are 5 euros round trip per person and 14 euros for the dog,

There you go folks, a dandy modern train station just 14 km from my house, just enticing to try the trains again. I finally use it again first since 2017 ! and enjoy the new train station as an user, it looks fabulous,and it is ,worth it Again, hope you have enjoy the post on the new train station of Auray, part III !!! as I.

Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.   1. Good timing; I actually passed through Auray station last night on my way back from Quimper to Paris, and was surprised that the TGV stops there, between Lorient and Vannes.

    1. Oh yes been stopping here in Auray for many years as I took it to business meetings in Paris for several years. Thanks for stopping by Cheers
