I am back in coastal gorgeous Locmariaquer in my beautiful Morbihan breton dept 56 of my lovely Bretagne in my belle France, I come to a familiar place so close to my house only 28 minutes. Again, I found me some older pictures not yet in my blog ,and they should be, Therefore, here is my take on the curiosities of Locmariaquer ,part I !!! Hope you enjoy it as I.
The town of Locmariaquer is located at the western mouth of the Gulf of Morbihan and has many beaches overlooking the bay of Quiberon, the western part of Mor Braz which opens access to the Atlantic Ocean. The port of Locmariaquer is a vibrant spot with great views and pretty marina with plenty of stores and restos going from the inland square to the port area square or Place Dariorigum

The port of Locmariaquer is a vibrant spot with great views and pretty marina with plenty of stores and restos going from the inland square to the port area square or Place Dariorigum It is a cruise harbor, fishing village, with good beaches and megaliths ancient stones all in one. The port of Locmariaquer is an old coastal fishing port dating from the beginning of the 20C. Located at the entrance to the Gulf of Morbihan, opposite Port-Navalo on the Rhuys peninsula, the port offers a panorama of the Gulf of Morbihan and the Auray river. There are many cruises departing from this port by the Vedette angelus and Navix companies, we had enjoy more the Navix.

On the marina side on port Gulvin there is always beautiful sunrise and sunset with a nice view of the Gulf of Morbihan The coastal path which connects the marina and the town at the port du Guilvin will enchant you. In less than 10 minutes on foot, you will reach the Guilvin pier to take the shuttle to Locmariaquer. The shuttle to the Île aux moines or the boat from Locmariaquer for a gulf tour with a stopover at the Île aux moines. Between Locmariaquer and the Rhuys peninsula, the boat is more practical! Locmariaquer and Port Navalo (Arzon and see post) mark the entrance to the Gulf of Morbihan. As a small km separates them, there are more than an hour to connect them by car! By boat, the journey becomes a pleasant walk through the currents of the Gulf
