Curiosities of Larmor-Plage, part II !!

The town of Larmor-Plage is located on the west bank of the entrance to the harbor of Lorient which marks the confluence of the Blavet and Scorff rivers, it faces the island of Groix and the Atlantic Ocean. The territory of the town extends inside the harbor of Lorient, allowing a view on the peninsula of Gâvres, the Citadel of Port-Louis and Lorient (see posts). Of course all this to tell you it is in my beautiful Morbihan and lovely Bretagne in my belle France, I again found me older pics not in my blog and they should, Therefore, here are my curiosities of Larmor-Plage, part II !! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The territory of the town extends inside the harbor of Lorient, allowing a view on the peninsula of Gâvres, the Citadel of Port-Louis and Lorient (see posts) . The coastline is rich and varied, alternating rocky coast, sandy beaches such as port Maria, and Toulhars etc., dune cordon with its marshes at Anse de Kerguelen, and Parc Océanique, the coastal urban area with its ancient and contemporary villas, the village center surrounded by the Notre Dame de Larmor-Plage Church (see post) and its Tower fortified steeple that responded to the salutation of the naval ships passing through the access channel of the harbor by a flock of bells. Larmor-Plage is a seaside resort, adopted by tourists and local walkers for its beaches, its Marina, its restaurants in the village, on the port, and along the promenade of port Maria, its traditional market on the place du Bourg on Sunday mornings and its promenades with a view on the island of Groix and the harbor of Lorient.

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting. Moving average a home every 5.5 years hopefully this will be my last. Cheers All rights reserved.
