If you have been reading my blog and thank you for it doing it since Nov 2010; then you know my sentimental attachment to Honfleur. A city gear to the ocean and fishing and Normandy, I have several posts on it in my blog and they are all special to me. I had to go there again for a personal duty that I had to do, put the ashes of my father at sea as were my mother and wife, Let me tell you about the culinary delights of Honfleur, part II !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.
However, worth to tell you this is a town towards the ocean of great sailors. There is plenty of seafood and fish and galore restos of all shapes price and form here, a delight to spent a day or two in wonderful Honfleur. Let me tell you again of some of our favorites over the years and repeat always. Before hitting the seas we stop by for the usual wonderful breads and sweets at Aux Blé d’Or bakery at 41 rue du Dauphin, wonderful all home made by the best in town and always a stop.

We had our lunch around the same area as breakfast by the quai des passengers almost across from the jardin public, the Bistrot à Crêpes. Very nicely serve with great steaks, burgers, and salads, good coffees, great ice cream italian homemade, and the beer heineken.

The other repeat as we do a lot here is the Au Relais des Cyclistes at 10 place de la Porte de Rouen here since 1992. We made reservation on the run from our car just to be sure not to missed it ! The couple owners here by systematically favoring traceability procedures, offering products from small producers who love what they do and who bring care and passion to what they do, you will find a true taste on the plate. A brasserie that remains down to earth , friendly and unfussy. It is the nice table to sit, close to the tourist office, the mediathéque library and the port. It is a smiling tandem, recommended by all-Honfleur. The brasserie can be spotted by its orange awning. Observe the painted traces of the original sign on the pediment of the house, and the back side.As well as our good borador Rex always with me! Au Relais des Cyclistes ,tradition has it that in the 1940s, peasants who came down to town to shop left their bicycles at the local café; and therefore the stage post of cyclists is it today. webpage: https://www.aurelaisdescyclistes.fr/

The next morning we came to our breakfast main, not in the hotel paid a bit more but worth it always. This is the L’Albatros at 32 Quai Sainte-Catherine is a repeat great for breakfast by the Vieux Port, bagel with eggs and bacon, coffee, orange juice, and pancakes a bit high at 17.90€ but worth it for the treat and the great service and greater view in the early morning harbor. restaurantguru webpage: https://restaurantguru.com/Albatros-Honfleur

We arrive for the personal duty I needed to do and no time to have a full lunch so we headed for an apero combi at another favorite spot over the years, we headed for the Cafe de Paris on 2 quai des passengers , and the same friendly service. Just around the corner from the boat ramps on your way to the jardin public and the statues of personnages of the city. City central Honfleur great! restaurantguru webpage: https://restaurantguru.com/Le-Cafe-de-Paris-Honfleur

We have, also, dwell into the Le Bistro du Port, 14 Quai de la Quarantaine, whether its a seafood pizza or a plat from the ocean this is to be seen and be seen with great ambiance, friendly service always for many years.
