I was lucky to be able to visit Dublin! and I like to bring new text and older new pictures to the blog with this post. I have several posts on Dublin and always a memorable visit with still good friends. For many years heard of Dublin ,in fact used to lived near a neighborhood that was call Dublin for the many Irish immigrants there. This was back in Perth Amboy, New Jersey USA.( see posts) . For now, let me tell you about my curiosities of Dublin !!
I have mentioned that took the airport bus to my hotel and tried the tramway but had shown no pictures! Therefore, here is a bit on them with pictures! I tried the public transport as like to tried everything at least once. Once in Dublin, took the airlink express bus to city center. Easy and convenient as it drops you off in the main areas of Dublin central. The bus was no. 747. The is the Dubliln Bus webpage: https://www.dublinbus.ie/

As for the tramway, I took a quick trip on the Green Line from Ranelagh to O’Connell just for the thrill and experience of it; the LUAS tramway of Dublin webpage: https://luas.ie/luas-green-line-stops/

No time for a show but did passed in front of the wonderful Ambassador Theatre at Upper O’Connell Street; this is a like a roman amphitheater shape really nice. I came across a nice building that is the Gate Theatre, founded in 1928; another wonderful architecturally done place of fun right on by the city center and O’Connell Street and Parnell Square.

Again swing a walk by the, Abbey Presbyterian Church at Parnell Square, beautiful architecture indeed and worth a look inside which no time this trip.

There you go folks, a dandy post on other curiosities of Dublin, a city to be back for more. This was a memorable trip and just when were preparing to go back we got hit with this virus. It will have to be done eventually. For now enjoy Dublin and thanks for reading.
And remember, happy travels, good health, and many cheers to all !!!

I am a lover of travels to Europe , Americas , Africa and Asia as well ,who like to share my experiences of the last 53 years with the world, visiting so far 81 countries; living in 6, working in 5, and Citizen of 4, speaking fluently 4 languages. I can deal with sports especially football/soccer and love music, arts, wine collector/drinker, and go out to restaurants, and just visit the world.
My background comes all the way from Candelaria and Pajara in Tenerife, Spain where my grandparents came from ;not knowing each other then, to Punta Brava, west of Havana, Cuba. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
Moving average a home every 5.5 years hopefully this will be my last. Cheers

I have lived in Dublin for several years and have walked past these theatres and this church many times, but I don’t remember going inside. There are however many other churches in Dublin and also several good theatres I have been to. As for the Luas, I’ve seen and heard it building under my windows and chasing cars away from its path, not my best memory of Dubliner.
