La Gacilly: streets of La Gacilly!

I like to tell you a bit more on La Gacilly, Morbihan dept 56 of my Bretagne in my belle France.

The town of La Gacilly is the home of the famous cosmetic firm Yves Rocher labs. La Gacilly is 13 km from Redon, 49 km from Vannes, 51 km from Rennes and 75 km from Nantes. And about an hour from my house!

La Gacilly is a small town capable of reserving great surprises. The beautifully flowered streets are as attractive with their old houses as with the work of the craftsmen who have settled here. In fine weather, the photography festival is displayed on the facades, far from any cliché! Strolling through the often pedestrianized streets is a very pleasant pleasure. By letting yourself be guided by your inspiration and perhaps by the sound of a hammer or a robot, you can witness the work of sculptors, potters, jewelry designers, brassworkers, glassmakers… Cité des Métiers d’Art, La Gacilly brings together talented craftsmen, whose workshops span the descent to the Aff river.

Strolling its marvelous pretty streets is an adventure of itself, no need to see anything else. The quant hilly streets are full of shops, restos ,art this is all over artists of all sorts from painters, ceramic makers, leather, glass, textiles, gadgets ,you name it and its here. The colors, displays ,and plein decorations are an open air festival in itself indeed. I love it! La Gacilly!

Hope I have expressed the beauty of this place enough, I am not an artists or writer just a plain lover of life and travels, people and what they make. Do enjoy La Gacilly, open to all and for all.

And remember, happy travels, good health, and many cheers to all!!!
