This is a wonderful heavens and boater’s paradise about 33 Kms ( 20 miles) from my house. Weekends specially in good weather is glorious to have it as your backyard, even in winter . Not to mention the whole of the coastal department 56 of my beautiful Morbihan in my lovely Bretagne, and in my belle France. I will be telling you this time on the Île de Stuhan of La Trinité sur Mer !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.
We go by car along the D768 to the N165 and then turn direction Vannes for a while on this road before hooking up again with the D768 direction Carnac and hooking up with the road D186 direction La Trinité sur Mer. Plenty of parking by the pleasure marina and along the harbor as well as the St Joseph parking lot up by the Church St Joseph, it is a public parking.
The Plage du Men-Dû is a sandy beach and is shallow. It is the joy of bathers at high tide, and the joy of waders and fishermen on foot at low tide. In the center, overlooks the Île de Stuhan or island of. At low water, this islet is connected to the earth by a strip of sand, called a tombolo. You can a local pastime in fishing on foot! A car park with direct access allows you to get to the beach by car with ease. In July and August, a free mini-bus, circulating in the town, serves this beach. During this same period, it has a beach club, which also provides surveillance. It is equipped with public toilets. Pets are not allowed. Finally, a bar-restaurant is located near the beach.

You have some of the best in all of Brittany, Plage du Men Dû. A wonderful corner of my world , The beach is a fine sandy beach facing due south. It is shallow. It is a delight for swimmers at high tide, and for waders and shore fishermen at low tide. In the center, Stuhan Island dominates. One of the hidden off the beaten path of my area that is a must to visit especially with the family, lots of fun and beautiful natural scenery, This small beach, 800 meters long, is the last beach west of the town before Carnac. Situated between a rocky point to the west and the Tombolo of Stuhan Island to the east, it directly faces Quiberon Bay. The site is protected to the west by Churchill Point and to the east by Stuhan Island and its tombolo.
