The Church Notre Dame de Lourdes of La Baule-Escoublac !!!

The town of La Baule-Escoublac is in the dept 44 of Loire Atlantiquein the region of Pays de la Loire , and in my belle France,  And as in many occasions,  I step into La Baule, as a collegue of mine lived not far from there and was telling how nice it was but very crowded in Summer. So we decided to check it out ,and what a pleasant surprise, we have come back several times,and we will be back, eventually. I again found me older new pictures in my cd rom vault and they should be in my blog for you and me, Therefore, here is my take on the Church Notre Dame de Lourdes of La Baule-Escoublac !!! The Church Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes was.built from 1931 to 1935 in the center of the town, is in neo-Romanesque style. The stained glass windows of the choir are dedicated to the Virgin Mary; they are distinguished by a choice of cool tones. The church has a total length of 52 meters, 21 meters wide, and 16.50 meters high under the vault. It houses the Saint-John Chapel. All the tuffeau stones have been stripped to give the church a sumptuous shine. The church organ was fully renovated at the start of 2006.

The story goes that on March 23, 1931, the first foundations of the church began. June 29, 1931, the first stone;On July 1, 1935, it was the end of the work; On August 21, 1935, the Notre-Dame Church was solemnly blessed by the bishop of Nantes, on May 25, 1942, the church was devoted by Mgr Villepelet.  Before the construction of the Notre-Dame Church, the parish celebrations and activities took place in the Notre-Dame-des-Flots Chapel (which became Sainte-Anne Chapel-see post) located 500 meters away.

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
