The Saint Peter’s Cathedral is a wonderful building right in the middle of the old town with wooden houses going back to the 14C originals! I walk by it every so often, several times a week, and always amazed of it’s history and impressive architecture in the right spot. The Cathedral is right in the town on a street really call place St Pierre attached by houses and shops all around it in a medieval setting. In the 15C , it was visited by Saint Vincent (Vicente Ferrier a Dominican monk from Valencia Spain) ; his tomb is in the Cathedral on the left side on the Tour Renaissance.

The Chapelle des Ursulines or Chapelle de la Sainte Famille (Ursulines chapel or Holy Family chapel), formerly dedicated to Roman Catholic worship, the chapel is located at 3 rue Thiers, within the walls of the Collège-Lycée Saint-François-Xavier or Middle School-High School. The chapel, placed under the name of the Holy Family, was built between 1688 and 1690 to serve the Ursuline convent. It is now closed,

The porte Prison or prison gate was built in the 13C under Duke John II partially destroyed in 1886 and one of the oldest access to the town making it the key to the local heritage seen by tourists and locals alike; making the ramparts one of the rare urban fortifications still existing today in all of Bretagne/Brittany/Breizh. As proof, the remains of the Gallo-Roman wall in place near the gate, rue Francis Decker and rue de la porte prison.

The Palais des Arts et des Congrès, is a complex combining a large performance hall and a conference venue. It is located 300 meters from the historic city center, on the Place de Bretagne. its construction began in the 1960s. The building was inaugurated in 1971 by Raymond Marcellin, mayor of Vannes. Also, housing the Théâtre Anne de Bretagne.
