Again, hanging around my neighborhood of small towns near me this is another gem in the off the beaten path of my beautiful Morbihan. It is great pleasure to tell you about this little known places that offer a nice half day tour of wonderful historical places. This is just 6 km from my house ! I will tell you again on the étang de la Forêt of Brandivy , part II !! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

I have mentioned the town of Brandivy , a small quant town very near my house. The artificial lake of the étang de la forêt is nature heavens with free access to the playground, outdoor fitness center, climbing, fishing, hiking. Also, a supervised section for sailing, kayaking, pedalo, climbing, archery, orienteering, and mountain biking. The refreshment bar, rental of pedal boats and kayaks from July 1 to August 31: You have the artificial lake or étang de la fôret, a large lake with oars and pedal boats fishing allowed ,picnic tables and scale walls of 6-8 meters as well as playground for kiddies. There is a snack bar open from 14h30 to 19h . A great family outing in nature; the boats are on fees of 6-8 euros per hour.Last check. This was a nice stop with my boys even if while not back and now renovation changes coming, It will follow its work along my blog.

The first step started in 2025 by cleaning the banks; a renaturation start before the total emptying of the pond. The restoration of the watercourse will be between 2027 and 2029. The latest arrangements will take place in 2030. Highlighting the site, transforming it, creating multi-activity zones, a bivouac area, wooden platforms, inclusive games , sports course … Work schedule : 2027: Work in the old poplar forest, Cleaning the banks of Loc’h and the brought channel. Deletion of the hedge, Catering work (renaturation, stripping, gear gateway) 2028> 2029: emptying of bodies of water, The big body of water: Development allowing emptying it ; Fishing body: creation of gaps and installation of bridges, Intervention on the main dike (demolition, creation hydraulic work, filling, etc.) ,Deletion of dikes from the fishery water body ,Work on the southern tributary, Determination of the decking layout in the old poplar forest, Lowering of current paths on the edge of the pond, Eventual corrective work on the stabilized watercourse, Plantations on the pond sector.

Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
