Curiosities of Aventura, FL !!!

Well this one is for the memories, long gone probably never encountered again, but always in our hearts. Our world in the USA combine living 31 years with 13 in NJ and 18 in FL our last home. I have written several posts on this period of my life in my blog.  I am coming back because looking in my old albums found me a picture of a memorable nice place and folks, that we came many many times over the years. Therefore, let me tell you about curiosities of Aventura, FL !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The City of Aventura is conveniently located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, in Miami-Dade county of the State of Florida, USA. The City was 16 miles from my first home in Hialeah, coming along the Palmetto Expressway or SR 826 to the NW 7th Avenue extension to connect with the NW 2nd Ave or SR 441 making a right turn on Miami Gardens Drive or 860 road crossing the intra coastal waterways becoming NW 185th Street to connect with Biscayne Blvd or US 1 highway south by the now Fresh Market entrance store was on the back, The last few years, we came from Miramar, Broward county taking the Miramar parkway road heading east to the beaches or 858 road this becomein the Hallandale Beach boulevard bearing right onto Biscayne Blvd or US 1 dir Miami to the now same entrance of the Fresh Market store on the back,

One of our most memorable trip while living there was to go visit Pierre Books or official the Pierre International Bookstore at 18185 Biscayne Boulevard. Here we had our French language and many memorable moment with the owner Belgians born Vivianne and husband Pierre,  which my dear late wife Martine became very good friends and we had all the French movies transfer to the US system for dvd movies. Later once in France we heard the store was moved to 2340 Hollywood Blvd , City of Hollywood for better rental costs, and officially closed several years back,without hearing from Vivianne ever again, sadly,

It is still in my heart and mind all the wonderful talks and exchanges we had over the years talking our next adventures in France and on our trips to Europe including Belgium, Time flies and folks go away but the memories remain strong, This another of my memorable posts for good cheers and friendships forever,

I am a lover of travels to Europe , Americas , Africa and Asia as well ,who like to share my experiences of the last 53 years with the world, visiting so far 81 countries; living in 6, working in 5, and Citizen of 4, speaking fluently 4 languages. My background comes all the way from Candelaria and Pajara in Tenerife, Spain where my grandparents came from ;not knowing each other then, to Punta Brava, west of Havana, Cuba. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting. Moving average a home every 5.5 years hopefully this will be my last. Cheers All rights reserved.
