The Maison Bouvaist of Les Mureaux !!!

I found me older pictures in my cd rom vault that should be in my blog for you and me, Vivid memories with my family to visit this park and house , my dear late wife Martine love it! Memories of always. Therefore, this is my rendition to the Maison Bouvaist of Les Mureaux ! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

Between 1876 and 1879, a private individual, Henri Michelet, had a brick and millstone property built by the architect Jules Saulnier. The same who built the building of the Menier chocolates in Noisiel, Seine-et-Marne (77). Inspired by the Gothic style, this brick and millstone castle, with its polychrome façade and spire, brilliantly illustrates the eclectic architecture of the 19th century. Some elements of the façade are also inspired by Moorish architecture. This construction, called the Maison Bouvaist  (from the name of Doctor Bouvaist, the last private owner), was bought by the town at the end of the 20C,

It was until 2006 a Paleoscope, intended for experimental archaeology. The house inspired by the Gothic style, this brick and millstone mansion, with its polychrome facade and spire, hosts various events throughout the year. It brilliantly illustrates the eclectic architecture of the 19C which borrows architectural elements from different styles. In addition to the general Gothic inspiration, certain elements of the facade were also inspired by Moorish architecture. The interior preserves a remarkable fresco depicting scenes of navigation on the Seine, pictorial testimony to the close link between the city and its river.

In addition to this house, the Parc de l’Oseraie (see post), whose wall runs along the towpath, includes a pond, a garden bridge and an artificial island. Planted with chestnut trees, Today, this wooded park of 221 trees is made up of a pond, a bridge, an artificial island, a children’s play area, green spaces for amenities as well as an educational apiary.

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
