This is in my beloved former home of Versailles. Needless, to say more about this wonderful royal town of my belle France, just read the monuments that have proven essential in the history of France. I have written on the royal stables but needed to tell you about something wonderful inside that remains off the beaten path, worth the detour, me think, Therefore ; let me tell you about the École nationale supérieure d’architecture in the Petite Ecurie of Versailles !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Versailles (ÉNSA Versailles) or the National School of Architecture of Versailles (ÉNSA Versailles) is a prestigious school located in Versailles , Yvelines department 78 , the Île de France region, and in my belle France, an associate member of the University of Paris-Saclay. It is recognized as one of the best architecture schools in Europe, notably appearing in the independent annual Domus ranking initiated in 2013. The school is located in the Petite Écurie, across from the Château de Versailles, address 5, avenue de Sceaux. I took a peek or a pic for the memories of always.
The educational objective of the National School of Architecture of Versailles is to foster an intensive practice of architectural projects while developing architectural issues in the fields of buildings, cities, and territories. It is simultaneously a place of reflection, production, and creation, offering a plurality of disciplinary approaches as well as a diversity of scales of manipulation and modeling. Architecture education is characterized by the teaching of the theory and practice of architectural and urban design, which is associated with four disciplinary fields: history, humanities and social sciences, architectural science and technology, and artistic culture. Two other research centers in architecture and urban planning are located within the school: LADRHAUS and GRAI. Two publications, the journal EAV (Enseignement Architecture Ville) (Education Architecture Ville), which has existed since 1995, and the journal fabricA, are published by the laboratory. ENSA Versailles also hosts “Ville Recherche Diffusion” (City Research and Diffusion), a structure for the dissemination of research on the city. The École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Versailles has a policy of international outreach and offers its students exchange programs abroad through partnerships with several institutions.
A bit of history tell us that the Architecture Teaching Unit No. 3, replacing the Beaux-Arts de Paris for the training of architects, was founded in 1969 in the Petite écuries or small stables of the Château de Versailles with a radical approach resulting from the changes following the events of May 1968. Since 1970, the small stables have housed the plaster cast collection of the Department of Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Antiquities of the Louvre Museum, serving as a model for architecture students. More than 5,000 masterpieces are presented there, the sum of three major collections: the Louvre’s cast collection, that of the École des Beaux-Arts, and that of the Sorbonne’s Institute of Art and Archaeology.
