Curiosities of Tréguier, part III !!!

I went back up to the north of me at the Côtes d’Armor dept 22 of my lovely Bretagne, We went to Tréguier ! Always by the coast and again a visit to this nice quant town, always amaze of the many wonderful spots that we see here, Therefore, let me tell you more of curiosities of Tréguier, part III !!!, and hope you enjoy the post as I

The two pavilions that you see towards the quays date from the beginning of the 17C. There was originally a third on the left. Their function was to monitor the river and the port and also served as grain attics. The picture is of the corner of Place du Général de Gaulle and rue Ernest Renan You see there now a wonderful créperie La Krampouzerie worth a stop for traditional galettes and crêpes ! Also, there is the Grenier de la Tour ,an apartment on the right side across the rue Ernest Renan fitted out in the old offices of the shipowners who controlled the transit of the goods landed on the quays of the Jaudy, On the left side.another house of shipowner or trader currently the pharmacie des Quais (pharmacy).

The Tréguier river was once navigable to La Roche-Derrien 15 km away. Located at the confluence of Guindy and the Jaudy (port across from the house in pic), the city of Tréguier is more accessible: it is only 7 km from the sea and the ships can wet , even at low tide in front of the City, It runs along the three quays of the port of Tréguier with a total length of 215 meters,

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
