Curiosities of Plouharnel !!!

I will be telling you about Plouharnel ! There is a beautiful ishtmus before getting into the Quiberon peninsula, I found new older pictures in my cd rom vault and they should be in my blog for you and me, Of course, the town of Plouharnel is in my beautiful Morbihan, in my lovely Bretagne, and in my belle France, Therefore, let me tell you about curiosities of Plouharnel !!! In order for us to reach our fav Quiberon peninsula we need to passed by the isthmus of Plouharnel and see its beautiful beaches. Some of these are:

You will like Mentor’s beach even if is not a well visited beach!. No doubt because the access road can be a little crowded during summer!! well after all it is in a peninsula lol! , but out with weekends and peak times, it’s all good! This beach has many attractive qualities: fine sand, dunes, natural surroundings, areas to both surf and kitesurf (which makes for entertaining watching), and our four legged friends are also welcome here, just as long as they are both leashed and well-trained.

And the Mané Guen beach is the southernmost beach and the closest to the Quiberon Peninsula. Known for its water sports, it has various areas reserved for conventional surfing and kitesurfing, however it is also well appreciated by swimmers for its nearby parking . Leashed dog are also allowed on this beach.

The Musée des guerres de l’Ouest or the museum of the wars of the west  by the time of the French revolution the Bretons pretty much wanted their way to stay independant and fought in many battles on what is known as the wars of the west which included the area of the Vendée, Mayenne, Anjou ,Normandie as well as Bretagne. In Brittany none other then General Georges Cadoudal lead the West army or the Royal and Catholic army of Brittany against the Republicans or French revolutionaries. Long battles with eventually some skirmishes lasted until 1815. Before finally peace came back under the Concordat firmly held, However, the spirits of independance are still within the Bretons even if today peacefully. The musée des guerres de l’Ouest is one of two muséums on the Chouans, the farming folks who rebels against the French revolution. The museum was called before the museum of the Chouannerie, It sits in an old bunker of WWII near the beach, and surrounded by sights that tells you that this was a heavily fortified place with machine guns part of the Atlantic wall of WWII.

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
