The Church Saint Pierre of Brandérion !!

I am again in my new life of retiree, doing short trips on the road warrior mode and finding new places not yet visited. There is so much to see, I am overwhelmed  by the quality even in smallist towns. I like to show in my blog a new town in my world map. Let me start tell you of the Church Saint Pierre of Brandérion !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I The town of Brandérion is a novelty as we passed by it almost every week, and finally got the urge to come into town, It is of course in the beautiful Morbihan, in the country of Lorient, in the lovely region of Bretagne.  Brandérion is located 14 km from Lorient and 36 km from Vannes, as well as 16 km from my house ! They have a nice Parish Church Saint-Pierre ,done in Gothic style from 1879. Bell tower rebuilt after WWII. Initially had renovations done in 1656, and was rebuilt in 1879, in the shape of a Latin cross, The church is at Rue Vincent Renaud or road D158. branderion-ch-saint-pierre-front-jul22 The Church Saint Pierre is attached to the parishes of the deanery of Hennebont in the diocese of Vannes. The church is placed under the patronage of Saint Peter. The interior, square pillars are placed on each side of the nave; The transept is connected to the building by two ogival arcades. The windows are high and narrow; That of the bottom of the choir, larger, is garnished with four -leaf and trilobic minders. branderion-ch-saint-pierre-side-belltower-jul22 The City/Town Hall is the former presbytery, It is a 17C two-story house with a kitchen, a living room, two bedrooms and a study. An attic is used by the rector to store his grain reserves and he had a cellar where he can store barrels of cider. A porch adjoins the house which overlooks the courtyard where there was a stable with its hay loft and a log cabin. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting. Moving average a home every 5.5 years hopefully this will be my last. Cheers All rights reserved.
