This is Beauvoir !!!

I went out into one of our favorite places and passing saw new ones that are worth having in my blog, I have taken this notes out of a post on the Mont Saint Michel to do justice to the town of Beauvoir, having so much wonderful places around, will just do justice to it. Therefore, in our road warrior tours of my belle France, we did a stop at Beauvoir, in the dept 50 of the Manche in the Normandie region, Let me tell you a bit on this is Beauvoir !!! We did visit a new town which before was just cruising by it, this Beauvoir on the route de Saint Michel , located on the Couesnon canal (one of the three rivers flowing into the bay of Mont Saint-Michel), about 2 km upstream from the mouth of the river. It borders my lovely Bretagne. This is the Couesnon river of contention between Brittany and Normandy on the location of the Mont Saint Michel. The neighboring towns here are Mont Saint Michel, Roz sur Couesnon, Saint Georges de Gréhaigne, and Pontorson. It is less than 3 km from the Mont Saint Michel, 5 km from Pontorson ,22 km from Avranches, 62 km from Rennes, and 184 km from my house.

We saw here take off the Héliberté helicopter for views over the Mont Saint Michel. A Helicopter station for rides on the bay of Mont Saint Michel , Héliberté at 39 route du Mont St Michel, This is a helicopter airline based on “squirrel” helicopters include 5 passenger, You can fly over Mont Saint Michel and its polders, the Cotentin Coast to Granville but also the Chausey Islands, treasure of wilderness.

One place to visit in your trips here is the Alligator Bay located at 62 route du Mont Saint-Michel , A tropical greenhouse sheltering 200 alligators, its turtle farm, its labyrinth of dragons is an animal park of 6,000 m2 , The greenhouse with alligators: over a route on wooden pontoons, slide in the skin of ‘An explorer, by observing alligators, crocodiles, caimans and the extremely white alligators, in a tropical greenhouse. The labyrinth of dragons populated by Boas, iguanas, chameleons and Varans, an exceptional fun space! Enter the caves to discover rhinoceros iguanas, African vipers and pine cones scints, within their reconstituted ecosystem with climatic terrariums. The turtle farm. Approach and caress the turtles of Africa, entering with them, in the space provided for this purpose*. Then admire the famous giant turtles of the Seychelles which reach more than 200 kg. Discover the dinosaurs plain and enjoy a moment of relaxation in the thematic playground. Very nice place a change over the mount nearby….

Other things to see here are Saint-Michel Parish Church , 1760. The church also houses a high altar and altarpiece (18C), two secondary altars with altarpieces, altar candlesticks, and a chair to preach.

A bit of history I like tell us that a Robert de Beauvoir, aka Robinet, is one of the 119 defenders of Mont-Saint-Michel in 1434, whose names and weapons appear in the abbey. Beauvoir becomes a town associated with Pontorson on January 1, 1973 It becomes an autonomous municipality again on January 1, 1989

Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
