Curiosities of Auray, part XI !!!

As said, come here often and never tired of seeing this lovely town of Auray in my beautiful Morbihan dept 56 of my lovely Bretagne, and in my belle France. The town itself is smallish and all can be done on foot, but it is full of wonderful architecture and history of three countries France, Canada ,and the USA. Just need to read my post on Auray to realise this. I have stopped by again today ,and took new pictures for the blog, Therefore, here is my latest on curiosities of Auray, part XI !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

We have passed many times in front of their main office in Plougoumelen on the road D765 local way parallel of the N165 expressway and only 19 km from our house, We were running on coffee and teas which are a must in our house ,and my sons told me they saw a store in City center Auray, 14 km from our house, Therefore, off we went to the Brùlerie d’Alre at pl de la République, and great surprise, loaded store , great friendly service and of course, we loaded up !

These are what we took and what we will be back again soon…………… I got me a kg of the Bahia Brazil coffees that I know from visiting that country for many years, This velvety coffee is made of sweetness and subtlety. It releases all its lightness as well as its suave texture identity in Bahia thanks to a gourmet aromatic profile with chocolate flavors. It has a very low acidity and is distinguished by its length in the mouth. The Bahia region is located in the northeast of Brazil. According to the Bahia coffee producers, the characteristic softness of their cafes comes from the fact that the grains are subject to particular drying rites: in the sun during the day but protected by canvas sections during morning dew.

Ones from many to pick next times….. are the Sul of Minas of Brazil , a soft coffee offering a delicate but enveloping length in the mouth. It will seduce you with his balanced body, its weak acidity and its hazelnut notes. The Sul de Minas region is the southern area of the Greater Region of Minas Gerais. Known to be one of the largest cafes producing regions in Brazil, the Sul de Minas region is a traditional place of production for Arabica coffee (introduced in the 1850s), achieving around 30 % of national production. Yes indeed try it see it in my posts on the regions, Going north, we will try the Altura Mexico coffees appreciated by balanced coffee lovers, this Altura Mexico, has a scented, sweet and delicious cup with delicate aromas of cocoa beans. Production is reasoned and the culture respectful of its environment. Located in the Vera Cruz region, the Altura is a small locality located 1400 meters above sea level on the foothills of the famous Peak of Orizaba. It is a high quality Arabica planted between 1000 and 1,700 meters above sea level.

My sons loaded on teas, out of many, they/me purchase the Rooibos Carrot Cake of Ginger, Almond, Cinnamon, Pécan and Biscuit. The Rooibos Noël (Christmas) with spices (pink berries, ginger pieces and cloves), orange bark, gingerbread, orange and cherry. The Rooibos Oriental with bergamot essays, passion fruit, vine fishing, and wood strawberry. Also, the Dammann Fréres Christmas Tea Vert with apples, aromas (vanilla, apple, sour almond, and cinnamon) , and essential oils (bloody orange, and gingerbread), and orange bark.

A brief bit of history, this is the fruit of a fortuitous meeting and a perfect blend infused with love and coffee beans between Claudine Hébert and Michel Nostier, the Brûlerie d’Alré opened its doors in 1971 in the town of Auray. Today led by Jimmy Hébert, the artisanal roasting workshop continues the family work initiated over 50 years ago, by offering high quality aromas, worked with finesse, to enhance each variety of Arabica coffee. You can discover their cafes of pure origins to sublime aromas as well as delicious mixtures developed by their barista. Each day, the Brûlerie d’Alré roasts its cafes. The cafes are then packaged in their 250 gram or 500 gram sachets equipped with a raimpable zip and a valve, in order to keep all the aromas. Lol we took a kg !
