Curiosities of Vannes , part XXV !!!

As said, we come by here always, we eat here , enjoy it here ,ride boats here, and do shopping galore on many items yet I need to tell you more, I was by there again for the grooming of my lovable dog Rex ! I will tell you a bit more on favorites spots in Vannes, in my beautiful Morbihandept 56, in my lovely Bretagne,and in my belle France. Therefore, here again the curiosities of Vannes , part XXV !!! Hope you enjoy it as I 

The grooming place is call Pattes de Velours, (velvet paws ) a salon open since Thursday June 1, 2023, She is trained in canine, feline and NAC grooming, she will take care of dogs, cats, rabbits, and even guinea pigs. Bath, cut, shear: beauty right down to the tips of their claws. It will also offer mud treatments and balneotherapy, intended for example for sporting dogs or dogs suffering from osteoarthritis. The salon Pattes de Velours is located at 24, rue de la Tannerie, Vannes. The Porte Saint-Vincent gate (see post)  is a city gate pierced between the end of the 16C and the beginning of the 17C. It is the main entrance to the old town of Vannes. Integrated into the ramparts of the city, the gate located to the north of the port and Place Gambetta was originally intended to allow port workers access to the walled city. For nearly two centuries, access to the gate was via a bridge (also called Saint-Vincent) which will be replaced by a semi-hemispherical square: the Place du Morbihan, current Place Gambetta.

A nice thing know it since my working days, visited but never participated and now each time by the corner take a picture for good time’s sake in my Vannes, This is the Hôtel Evasion and you can come accompanied by your team, you will be locked up in an escape game room for an hour. It’s up to you to discover all the secrets to get out in the time allocated! The path will be strewn with pitfalls and puzzles. Your logic, your team cohesion and your attention will be the keys to success!

The Le Port is a lively and urban district of Vannes, covering an area of 1.5 km². It has many corners of greenery such as the Parc de la Garenne, the Butte de Kérino and the Jardin de Limur.(see posts). The place Gambetta, of hemispherical plan, marks the end of the port of Vannes and puts it in contact with the historic center by the Porte Saint-Vincent. The Marina has a capacity to host 280 boats on pontoons. It can accommodate 34 boats on dead body. The port of Vannes has a visitor area for your stopovers with 60 places available. Popular with locals and visitors alike boaters and tourists thanks to its location in the heart of the city, the Marina is equipped with many facilities: harbormaster cultural kiosk, tourist office, green area  and underground parking le Port.

The Burton store is classic style ready-to-wear chain for women and men also offering shoes and accessories , The final closure of Burton of London, 1 rue Billault who had moved to this prestigious address, 30 years ago, the sales area of ​​609 m², is closed, Plans are under way for the new tenants of the building, the Koncept contemporary furniture, and Bulthaup kitchen furniture, A new look of the building for the memories of always.

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
