I come to my nice Rennes. This time one of the nicest monument , and of course the City is in Îlle et Vilaine dept 35,of my lovely Bretagne, I have come back to this beautiful City after a long hiatus and it was wonderful, Bear with me as the next posts will be on this beautiful City, Let me tell you about the Stade Rennais, Roazhon stadium !!! During its first years of existence, Stade Rennais FC evolves mainly on land located in the Mabilais district, on the southern bank of the Vilaine river, The club moves for land located a little further to the west, on the other bank of the Vilaine, along the way from the city center to Lorient. Inaugurated on September 15, 1912, the Lorient Route Sports Park is spacious, and endowed with a first wooden platform, located on the Vilaine river side, you have to wait until the 1950s that the Sports Park experienced a deep restructuring, With the construction of two reinforced concrete stands, installations supplemented by the development of summary stands behind the goals, In 1975, a concrete tribune replaces the stands located behind the west side. It becomes popularly the “Mordelles” gallery, named after a town located in this direction along the Lorient road , Between 1999 and 2004, the Lorient road stadium is once again renovated to take its current form. In turn, the four stands of the stadium are renovated or rebuilt the new ensemble is inaugurated at the end of summer 2004, then was renamed Roazhon Park in June 2015, after a popular consultation, The renovated stadium has a Tteoretical capacity of 31,127 places, but 29,778 places in practice, The Roazhon Park is the property of the city of Rennes, On my way in and out of the City from my house !

The Stade Rennais Football Club was founded on March 10, 1901 and located in Rennes at first athletics club evolving in the blue sky and navy blue colors, it bears the name of Stade Rennais until its merger With the Football Club Rennais in 1904. As a result, it became the Stade Rennais University Club and adopted the Red and Black colors of FC Rennais. It competed in his first official competitions from 1902 in 1912, and moved on a land located on the edge of the Vilaine river, on which the current Roazhon Park stadium was erected. After having shone in regional competitions, the club of the Breton capital made a name for a national scale by reaching the final of the Coupe de France in 1922 and 1935. During this period, in 1932, the club also accesses to professional status. In the 1960s, he asserted himself, as one of the best teams in France, twice winning the Coupe de France in 1965 and 1971.

After having taken its independence from the omnisport structure to take its current name in 1972, the club experienced a long crossing of the sports desert, punctuated by serious financial difficulties. Finally ,getting ,the French Cup in 2019, after three lost finals in 2009, 2013 and 2014. Stade Rennais FC evolves during the 2024-2025 season in the elite of French football for the 68th time in its history,

My background comes all the way from Candelaria and Pajara in Tenerife, Spain where my grandparents came from ;not knowing each other then, to Punta Brava, west of Havana, Cuba. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
