The Jardin Saint Georges is a magnificent example of the art of French gardens, with in the background, the Palais Saint-Georgeswhich dates from 1670. From spring, its flower flowerbeds put full view, the benches invite to contemplation. At the heart of the park sits a monumental bronze sculpture the Grand Passeur carrying a dog on his shoulders, with two molosses by his side.   Visible from the train station and avenue Janvier, it offers a magnificent floral painting with a sumptuous palace in the background. Built under the impetus of the abbess Magdelaine de La Fayette, former abbey of Saint Georges ; at the center, upstairs, a curved pediment is decorated with the coat of arms of the abbey stamped with a royal crown and the allegories of justice and peace ; it sports her name in capital letters on the front. The romantic garden is pleasant for lunch on the go or read on a bench in the shade. Children’s games are hidden in the upper part. Facing the palace, the jardin Saint Georges a pleasant French garden highlights the architecture of the place.
