The culinary find in Pleugueneuc !!!

In my road warrior runs in my lovely Bretagne/Brittany/Breizh , I have come across many towns, all quant nice and memorable, As such, the region is divided into four department and one pending, This is Pleugueneuc in the Ille et Vilaine dept 35 , I like to give it a post of its own, well deserving, me think, Therefore, let me tell you about the culinary find in Pleugueneuc !!! The town of Pleugueneuc is located near the road D/N137 between Rennes, 40 km away and Saint-Malo, 33 km away. Pleugueneuc comes from the Breton Plou which means “parish” and Guéhenoc from the name of its founder. The name of the town is Plegeneg in Breton We were in my road warrior mode in the area and hunger stroke so looking at random I picked this place, A wonderful find and great nice friendly folks even with my Dad in wheelchair !

Across from the St Stephens’ Church (see post) at rue de la Liberation we came to have lunch at Aux Délices des Sens pizzeria. This again by chance and bingo we hit a good one again! This is local place with the best pizza I have so far in all Bretagne ! There was galette compléte ,2 pizza sud ouest or southwest style and 2 pizzas orientale with chorizo. Café gourmand sweets and coffee platter and a bottle of Val de Rance brut cider, all delicious and great on the pocket too only 18 euros per person. Great friendly service , and nice view to the street and church. We left thinking will be worth coming back and using it as lunch stop again. The rue de la Liberation is the road D637 corner with Rue du Bourg or road D75.

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
