I am back in lovely Lannion north of me in department Côtes d’Armor 22 of my lovely Bretagne in my belle France. I have written before on Lannion of course, and just came back from another visit. This is my ending posts of a wonderful trip, and bring back memories of my family’s visits over the years,The city is 95 km from Brest, 69 km from Saint Brieuc, 38 km from Morlaix, and 133 km from my house, I like to tell you again on curiosities of Lannion, part IV !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.
The parc Sainte-Anne park concentrates a large part of the 115 hectares of the green heritage of the City, It is nestled on the left bank of the Léguer river, the park houses a residence for the elderly, There are statues all over and a large skeleton with the air of large fish of 15 meters long perched 2 meters high in the middle of the park, There is ,also, a tower of a chapel as this was part of the former monastery of Sainte Anne, today with many cultural spaces in the Espace Sainte Anne (see post).

The Maison du Chapelier or hatters 16-17C, located at No. 29, Place Général Leclerc is something to stop and closer look. This house, which for a long time was millier, replaces a house destroyed during the wars of the League. It was rebuilt in 1646. Another one located at No. 31, contains caryatids carved in the style of Henri IV and replaces an old house mentioned by an act dated 02 June 1444 in the renter of the factory of Saint Jean du Baly! Very old houses at 21 and 23 Place Général-Leclerc, with the facades totally dressed in slate, The wooden house at 33 Place Général-Leclerc, corner with 1 rue des Chapeliers from the 16C now houses the restaurant Le Barn’s, This is a very historical street with beautiful architecture all over, nice to walk on.

The Parking L’Aiguillon at 2 Quai d’Aiguillon was our parking on this trip, Free parking at the Quai d’Aiguillon goes to 1 hour maximum , The regulation of the blue zone applies every day from 8h30 to 18h30 except Sundays, Mondays and public holidays, We spent more than an hour so we paid but cheap 2 euros extra, There are street works all over the zones close to the Leguer river with routes directed by signs and dividers, The cars can circulate on the Quai d’Aiguillon, and cyclists will have their bi-directional cycle path. The tourist office of Lannion is at 2 Quai d’Aiguillon, next to the Léguer river, Very easy to get to from the parking of same name, Always good to stop by no matter how much you think you know of a City.
