Curiosities of Lannion, part III !!!

I am back in lovely Lannion north of me in department Côtes d’Armor 22 of my lovely Bretagne in my belle France. I have written before on Lannion of course, and just came back from another visit. This is my ending posts of a wonderful trip, and bring back memories of my family’s visits over the years,The city is 95 km from Brest, 69 km from Saint Brieuc, 38 km from Morlaix, and 133 km from my house, I like to tell you again on curiosities of Lannion, part III !!! The former chapelle Ursuline is today an exhibition hall. It receives on its halls about four exhibitions per year: sculpture, ceramic, painting, and any other form of art with the exception of photography which finds its place in imaging. Exhibitions at the chapel are reserved for artists in professional status or in the process of professionalization.

You should walk the streets and the rue de Kérampont is a must, Here you find the L’Espace Sainte-Anne,(see post) house in an old convent ,now a spot dedicated to culture and associations but mainly is a street with a medieval look ;but mainly is a street with a medieval look ,Do admire the house at 15 rue de Kérampont with its medieval looks and tower.

The small Aéroport de Lannion is located at Avenue Pierre Marzin in the zone de Pégase, only a few minutes from City center Lannion, and less than 10 km from the towns of Perros-Guirec, Tregastel, Pleumeur-Bodou ,and Trebeurden. It houses aeroclubs such as the Aéroclub de la Côte de Granit and the Aéroclub de Lannion, and the drones activities of the Ecole Référence Drone, Skydiving such as the 7ème ciel ,and ULM rides on the L’autre côté du vent, There, is also, an Italian grocery store and restaurant inside Italia Ker Guido.

A nice looking Hôtel de Ville with the Halles or covered market (see posts) behind it , As well as a carrousel in the place de l’Aiguillon with kiddier rides overlooking the river Léguer.

Next to the Church of St John du Baly, you will see a statue of Charles Le Goffic,  born and died here in Lannion, he was a poet, romancier, literary critic who dedicated his times and work celebrating Brittany. Member of the Académie Française in 1930.
