The Abbaye Notre-Dame de Boquen, going on guided trail from the town on the rue de l’Abbaye, This is a Cistercian abbey of men, founded around 1137 by Olivier II de Dinan, lord of Jugon, for monks from Bégard of the order of Citeaux, In 1450, Prince Gilles of Brittany was buried in the abbey. During the French revolution, the community had only four religious. The abbey in ruins was noted, from 1936, by Dom Alexis Presse, a Cistercian monk from Plouguenast, professed from the Timadeuc abbey (see post) ,and former abbot of Tamié (Savoie). From 1973, the Sisters of Bethlehem succeeded the monks and founded the Monastery of Notre-Dame-de-la-Croix-Vivifante. They left in 2011, leaving the abbey to the community of Chemin Neuf
