I am back in coastal gorgeous La Trinité sur Mer in my beautiful Morbihan and my lovely Bretagne in my belle France , This is a wonderful heavens and boater’s paradise about 33 Kms ( 20 miles) from my house. Weekends specially in good weather is glorious to have it as your backyard, even in winter , Today was cloudy with 26C or about 79F and I went with my sons and our dog Rex, Therefore, let me tell you about the beaches of La Trinité sur Mer !!! Immerse yourself in La Trinité sur Mer for a weekend or more, and let yourself be told the thousand and one stories of all the lovers of the sea that the famous marina shelters. Renowned skippers, passionate oyster farmers, occasional boaters or seasoned fishermen, each plays with a pencil to offer the visitor a rich and colorful picture. La Trinité-sur-Mer, a colorful seaside resort!
The Plage de Kervillen or Kervillen beach is a fine sandy beach facing South. A parking nearby with direct access to the beach makes it possible to get there by car with convenience. In July and August, a free mini-bus circulating on the town serves this beach. It is ideal for swimming at any time of the tide, and safely. In July and August, it has a rescue station (SNSM very good folks) open from 13h30 to 19h. A seahorse armchair for people with reduced mobility is available. The Plage de Kerbihan or Kerbihan beach is exposed to the east, along the coastal path, it offers a nice view of the channel with its incessant ballet of boats. Sheltered by a dune cordon, this pretty beach of fine sand is protected from the easterly winds by the Pointe de Kerbihan. You will find a water sports club there. The Kerbihan beach trail continues and passes through the famous Bois d’Amour, sheltered from the westerly winds. This is the domain of shellfish and shrimp fishermen. From this beach you can admire the comings and goings of sailboats entering and leaving the port, a magnificent spectacle that you never tire of.Pic by the Pointe de Kerbihan. Coming from Le Trinité sur Mer, take the D186 road. Turn on the left towards the Pointe de Kerbihan on rue de Kerhino. Continue on rue de Kerbihan then turn left at the beaches and coastal panel (the panels indicate the beaches of Kerbihan on the right in fact it is the two beaches of the tip which are in our view less interesting) . There is a small parking lot at the end of the street.
The natural space of the Pointe de Kerbihan constitutes the extreme south, oriented towards the openword. This rocky arrow marks the mouth of the Ria de la Rivière de Crac’h and the opening towards Mor-Braz, a large body of water sheltered by the Morbihan ocean islands. The pointe de Kerbihan has different habitats: moors, coastal dunes, meadows, wetlands, maintained agricultural land, and wasteland. The ecological conditions of these homogeneous spaces and their vegetation shelters fauna and floristic species to be preserved and perpetuated. Starting from the marina, the GR34 (walkers trail), also known under the term sentier des douaniers or customs trail, leads you from beach to be beach to the pointe de Kerbihan then west to the Marais de Kervilhen … six small kms only to discover a unique point of view on Quiberon bay. You see the bunker and old custom’s house!
