The Pôle Culturel Le Stang of Pluvigner !!!

Most write about far away lands we visit but seldom about the one we live in, I have lived in 5 countries/ worked in 4, and citizen of 4, having visited 81 countries so far and all have an impact on my life, Needless, to say the meaning of Pluvigner is big on my family. I had written several post on our lives here but just got a new building need to tell you about it, We belong to the Agglo communities of the Auray Quiberon Terres Atlantique, we live with another layer of government, Anyway, you know we are in my beautiful Morbihan dept 56 of my lovely Bretagne and in my belle France. I like to tell you a bit on the Pôle Culturel Le Stang of Pluvigner !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The mastermind was a new cultural center! called “Espace Eugène Le Couviour“, as official name but already simply call the Pôle Culturel Le Stang ,a new complex will provide a roof for the media library and the music school. A 300-seat performance hall will be added  with new equipment with a floor area of ​​2,000 m2 which will be ideally located in the heart of the town, close to the city/town hall. The town of Pluvigner bought the old Le bar du Stade, as well as the old garage Lavoquer with his dwelling house. And are going to review the layout of the parc St-Michel park by displaying it more and creating a central space, a sort of green theater so that the town can organize activities there and so that school children can better enjoy it. This is a great idea and the park is very nice walking distance from my house.

You have different section that make up the Pôle Culturel de Pluvigner as such :

The école de Musique et Danse or school of music and dance, music lessons take place at the center, and dance lessons at the Goh Lanno complex (see post). The participants are able to benefit from ideal conditions for learning thanks to the eight or nine rooms dedicated to courses : three or four for the instruments (16 m2), then 20 m2 for the piano, 30 m2 for percussion, 40 m2 for musical formation, 60 m2 for choirs and 80 m2 reserved for the orchestra.

The Médiathèque or Media Library is part of the Atlantic Terre librares network: you have access to nearly 230,000 documents (books, magazines, music, videos, etc.), The media library , the heart of this space of 525 m² hide a space reception of groups and a very well designed reading space. Located outside of circulation, slightly partitioned, the latter is flooded by a permanent light entering by the southern and west faces. The rest of the media library offers positions adapted to individual work in the middle of the shelves enriched with new works.

The town of Pluvigner offers you a rich and varied cultural program: concerts, exhibitions, conferences, documentary films and shows for young and old on a great auditorium. The great innovation will be undoubtedly the performance hall. With a capacity of almost three hundred persons.

Pluvigner is a very historical town with 8 castles, and 19 chapels 2 churches, amongst other goodies all around the area, In the Breton language, Plu is parish and Vigner is a contraction of Guigner (for founder Saint Guigner) ,so therefore Pluvigner. It is Pleuwigner in Breton!

And a bit of history I like tell us that the former Chapelle Saint-Adrien chapel, housed the médiatèque or municipal library and multimedia center. The Saint-Adrien chapel was built by a hospital foundation in the 15C. This chapel was restored in 1774 by the Lord of Keronic to house the sisters of wisdom. It is a fairly cold and naked Latin cross -shaped chapel, The municipla library and media center is now in the new complex pôle culturel Le Stang.

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
