Château de Rimaison, chapel and fountain !!!

I told you my small town of Pluvigner is packed with goodies of old and now. Lots of heritage monuments all over and of course castles we have plenty. Even if most are private properties , as this one is now, Before it was open and even had a créperie inside we love it , sadly sold and close, Anyway let me tell you about the Château de Rimaison, chapel and fountain !!! Hope you enjoy it as I.

The Chapelle de Rimaison was built in the 20C with elements from ancient buildings, it has beautiful historiated stained glass windows and a carved romance roodle.There are several windows recovered from Notre-Dame-des-Orties (see post). These are the two small superimposed windows on the west side and the two windows on the north face. Several stained glass windows recall the old chapel ,one in the southern chapel, to the right of the choir, and the other in the southern wall. They are dated from 1891, This is also the case in the choir with the stained glass window representing the Rosary and the large bay where Saint-Michel, Sainte-Madeleine, the Virgin and Saint-Vincent-Ferrier rub shoulders. The other stained glass windows have often been recovered in chapels from Finistère (29) The Chapelle Saint-Aignan of Plumergat has provided several interesting pieces: stained glass windows and the bay of the North Chapel.

There is a small fountain of Rimaison with a niche of a Virgin some call it the Notre Dame des Orties that is right by the back entrance of the castle, We took a curiosity picture of it even if information on it is rare, The castle, is private,

There you go folks, another gem in Pluvigner . They do allow into the Chapel on heritage days. They do all kinds of festivities here of local folklore and heritage that still goes on, . Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
