The Church Saint Guigner of Pluvigner, part IV !!!

I have written plenty on the main church of my town of Pluvigner, but again found me older pictures not yet in my blog and they should be, Do read my many posts on my dear home town ! Therefore, let me tell you about the Church Saint Guigner of Pluvigner, part IV !!!  Hope you enjoy the post as I.

I stop by city center/downtown and decided to go on towards the Church Saint Guigner,  We have been inside several times and past by it zillions times, but always interesting history and architecture so I stop by again. First, my town of Pluvigner (French) or Pleuwigner (Breton).  The name comes from the Breton Ploe meaning Parish and Guigner, the Saint; therefore, the Parish of St Guigner or Pleuwigner or Pluvigner !!!  And of course, in my beautiful Morbihan dept 56 of my lovely region of Bretagne/Breizh.

The Church Saint Guigner is vast, dating from 1545, bell tower retouched in 1781, and restored in 1883 , The painting entitled “Assumption”, dates from 1770. The painting “Donation du Rosaire”, dates from the very beginning of the 20C. It was the heart of an old religious complex made up of the chapel of Notre-Dame des Oties (see post), and the chapel of Saint-Adrien, a hospital and a cemetery. These monuments or their vestiges remain today. The stained glass windows relate the events of the life of famous people in the parish, such as Saint Guigner, Saint Guénaël or even the penitent Kériolet. You will also find the statues of Saint Guigner, Saint Michel, Saint Vincent Ferrier and that of Notre-Dame de Bon Secours.

The organ is a masterpiece 9 meters high and 15 meters wide made up of no less than 3,000 pipes, All renovated in 2019, after much effort and many years. It looks marvelous !!!

There you go folks ,my main church in town. It has been renovated several times over the years and the town folks have given money to do so.  Just enjoy it as we have come to do in our newer little corner of our world. Again, hope you enjoy the Church Saint Guigner of Pluvigner, part IV !!! as I.

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
