I like come back and tell you more of this wonderful monument upon finding older new pictures to my blog that should be in it,This was a surprise, did not realize that this town would have such a beautiful Church. As a lover of Architecture and History, these fascinates me and I go a great length to visit them all, For reference, this is in the Maine et Loire dept 49 of the Pays de la Loire region and in my belle France. Therefore, let me tell you on the Church of Notre Dame of Cholet, part III !! Hope you enjoy the post as I.
As I wrote extensively in my initial post on it will only briefly mention some aspects of it to go along with the new pictures to the story, The Notre Dame Church of Cholet is right in city center/downtown at the parvis Jean-Paul-II , and surrounded by the old town and a great Place Travot ,a square. The people here has taken to rebuilt these religious buildings , and the current church was initially built between 1854 and 1887. It is considered one of the best work and preserved of churches from the trouble 19C in the region.
The Church Notre-Dame is the second largest church in the department of Maine et Loire ! The church came out of the earth in the 19C thanks to Louis-Joseph Luçon, a man of faith without dreams of glory who was , thanks to the lord’s ways, archbishop, then cardinal and secretary of the Pope ! We can observe a delimitation thanks to its stained glass, colorless on one side and decorated on the other. Visible on its facade, on which we spot the marks of stone tailors. No tuffeau, as you might expect in the Loire valley, but stronger rocks from Cholet, more suitable for supporting such a structure. The spire of this church culminate at 68 meters high. They house four bells of one and a half tons, melted in Nantes, all housed under the same bell tower, the second being decorative.

Inside the Church Notre-Dame, there are also five confessionals, adorned with illustrations of marking episodes of the Bible such as the enema of the feet, the woman taken in adultery or Jesus saving a lamb before her crucifixion. We can, also, observe in the bottom of the church five absidial chapels ;small chapels open behind the bedside paying homage to Saint-Joseph, Sainte-Marie, and Sainte-Anne (the grandmother of Jesus and protector of Brittany respectively), The crucifixion and the Sacred Heart (symbol of divine love and Vendée area) above each, there are three stained glass windows reminiscent of episodes linked to each representation. And the statue of Mary adorning the facade of the building, made to starting from a fragment of a similar sculpture located in Bégrolles-en-Mauges, destroyed during the Vendée wars (against the French revolution).
