I have written bits and pieces in several posts about them but ,there is always more, I found me several older pictures not yet in my blog and they should be, I like to tell you about another wonderful beach of Quiberon just south of me. This is of course, in the peninsula or presqu’île de Quiberon of my beautiful Morbihan and my lovely Bretagne in my belle France, Here is again my take on the Plage du Conguel of Quiberon !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I
The Plage du Conguel at Pointe du Conguel is particularly quiet, especially since it is sheltered from the westerly winds. Not far from there, at the end of the Pointe, south side, the Jument Beach is a very quiet place, far from the bustle of the city center! On the parking at the entrance of the Pointe du Conguel, you will find toilets and an emergency call terminal. Pitches for parking bicycles and picnic tables. A very nice natural area indeed.

It is a long shoreline covered with crystal clear, turquoise water and light sand, so there is no need for special shoes. the entrance to the water is very smooth This beach is suitable for different categories of people, solo travelers, lovers of relaxing stays and many others. Big advantage, it’s not a crowded place during the season. The entire coast of Plage du Conguel is accessible to everyone. It is completely wild and has no infrastructure. In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also participate in other activities. SUP surfing. It is certain that this beach is suitable for kite and windsurfing enthusiasts.

The Pointe du Conguel is about 1000 meters long and 200 meters wide. It is placed under the protection of the Conservatoire du Littoral, but the management is under the Grand Sites de France. A path makes it possible to go around this natural site. The best part here is the views over the end of the land and into the Atlantic ocean! Also, the beaches are fine sand and beautiful in Summers! We love it, nice secluded beach away from it all in a beautiful natural setting, see it and believe it.

There is ,also, the Conguel camping site, 4 stars rated, looks nice never in it but have rented elsewhere and they are fun for the whole family, For info, the Pointe du Conguel is a gay visitors area,
Good to know: starting from the center of Quiberon on foot, you can do a pleasant 6 km loop of walking. The Tourist Office also offers an 11 km route passing by Pointe du Conguel. Offshore, two islets emerge: the petit trou or small hole accessible on foot at high tides and the grand trou or big hole where Gallic burials were discovered. Further on, the Teignouse lighthouse looms on a rocky bank where the battleship France sank in 1922.
