For this edition it was once again the opportunity to meet some of the providers we shop while in our adventurous ways thru the French countryside and some new ones met here. You have the real France here nothing industrial, supermarket type but the real deal straight from the farms and the artisans who produces the marvelous things we all came to know France for and still is. You have them here from different regions all defending their land and product. We later came to visit many of them on site and the history continues…..

There is free parking, lending of wheels caddy with proper personal ID, restaurant on site even to drink the bottles you purchase there, and tasting glasses with a deposit of 2€ (you can keep the glass or get the refund at end). And, we came ready with our own glasses and hanging holder to boot ! There were many familiar faces there but we concentrated on the two favorites over the years and a couple new ones to try them, The perennial merchants are :
EARL Cousseau Boireau ;Vignobles de la Rodaie,Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil (red and rosés Cabernet Franc) ,We love their Tentation, Kermelise and the new one Erwan reds as well as their rosé ! Webpage : https://vignobledelarodaie.fr/

Maison Gastellou from Saint Jean Pied de Port (sheep cheese, filet mignon sausages, ham in espilette spice, gateau basque cake, saucissons) , We had visited their store there and visit each year here, marvelous goodies with a friendly conversation each time, Great to be recognised by these folks each time ! The newbie this year was the macarons Hottekiet of Angers,These are marvelous and great tastings, we got a whole box of 40 ! These were wonderful and we enjoyed them a lot on tastings there, I believe it is their first time here and welcome ! They started teaching and then the macarons, the rest is history, located at 3 Rue Saint Aubin in City center Angers ! My sons buying below pic !!
