After the revolutionary unrest, the Saint-Martin Church regained its original vocation. But restoration was necessary. Father Rosignol, appointed parish priest in 1874, decided to construct a new church, on a field dependent on the old Grandinerie manor, donated by Baron Théophile de Plazanet. Its consecration, took place on December 21, 1885. Inside, we can see the portrait of the priest Rossignol in one of the stained glass windows of the collaterals, the side altars dedicated to Saint Peter and Saint Martin mark the memory of the two ancient churches of Janzé.

The Sacré-Cœur Church, or Saint-Martin Church, is located on the heights of the town of Janzé.The particularly neat interior alternates Caen stone and Saumur tuffeau, with light granite for the piers of the nave. The sculpted decoration is particularly remarkable, as is the furniture (high altar, pulpit, stalls). The capitals, namely the tops of the columns, are sculpted with motifs from Noah’s Ark. The historic stained glass windows, incorporate the Stations of the Cross.

As said , on the site of the old Grandinerie manor, the new Saint-Martin Church, in neo-Romanesque style. The current Saint-Martin Church, also known as Sacré-Cœur; it is shaped like a Latin cross and in a neo-Romanesque style. The vessel measures 50 meters long while the tip of the bell tower makes its enormous rooster sing at a height of 63 meters. The linearity of the streets, a legacy of the 19C layouts, puts its bell tower into perspective. There are around fifteen churches of this style in Ille-et-Vilaine but that of Janzé is one of the most remarkable.

Before this new church, there was a church dedicated to Saint Martin. It was attested from the end of the 11C. In 1880, the church still had Romanesque parts. This new church will be one of the most beautiful religious monuments built in the diocese. In a modern Romanesque style, it consists of a nave ending in an apse, a transept which gives it its cross shape and a bell tower. Its lantern tower which rises above the crossing of the transept makes it easily recognizable. This new church is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Saint Martin and Saint Peter, as secondary patrons.

Originally equipped with a portable Debierre organ at the beginning of the 20C, the Saint Martin Church welcomed in 1930 an organ built by a monk from the Source Abbey in Paris: Dom Séjourné. The instrument was rebuilt by the organ builder Yves Sévère in 1972. It nevertheless retained the oak case housed at the bottom of the apse.
