For reference, the town of Paimpol is located in the Côtes-d’Armor department 22 in my lovely region of Bretagne, and in my belle France.

The new Notre-Dame-de-Bonne-Nouvelle Church, located at Rue Pierre Feutren was completed in 1914 , and consacrated in 1932. The church contains a Flemish triptych from the 15C and a painting from the Spanish school from the beginning of the 17C representing the entombment of Christ. Of the old church, only the tower remains (1760 – 1766). The first stone of the bell tower (decorated with the arms of the Vittu de Kerraoul family) was laid on March 1, 1760. The main altar dates from 1932.

The church with a large volume and three naves built on a Latin cross plan. It is composed, of a square porch tower in the work housing the floor of bells, a nave with five bays flanked over its entire length by two aisles, a transept and a choir flanked on each side by a lean-to building. The interior space is covered by a ribbed vault. The western tower is topped with a masonry spire and the gables have ramps with hooks. Very strong construction indeed, The organ itself allows us to attribute the case to the Buisine factory in Lille, the manufacturing to the Convers house, as attested, in particular, by the Cavaille-Coll Convers mark engraved on the crossbar. top of its console. We can thus date the whole thing to 1925. It was restored in 1986.

The Pardon of Notre-Dame-de-Bonne-Nouvelle or Our Lady of Good News takes place on the first Sunday in December, and the Pardon of the Icelanders on the 3rd Sunday in July.

Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
