Lanester is located in my beautiful Morbihan and lovely Bretagne, about 30 km from my house, I stop by there again today and found me again some nice monuments and some new finds, I like to tell you a bit on the Saint Yves Chapel of Lanester !!! Hope you enjoy it as I.

The Saint-Yves or Notre-Dame du Resto Chapel. It is thought to have belonged to the Templars for no reason. The current church from the 15-16C, includes a rectangular nave, flanked by two chapels limited by the same flat apse as the main nave.

The Resto district, close to the banks of the Blavet, has been occupied since Antiquity. The current Saint Yves Chapel, built in granite from the Pink Granite Coast (Trébeurden), replaced the chapel in the mid 20C. A 16C chapel . destroyed during the bombings of 1943. A pardon takes place there every August 15, the chapel being also dedicated to Notre-Dame.
