For reference, this is in my beautiful Morbihan ,in my lovely Bretagne and in my belle France, Port Haliguen is only 5 km from La Teignouse, 19 km from Belle-Ile, 15 km from Crouesty, and 11 km from La Trinité sur Mer. It is 41 km from my house, On foot, the center of Quiberon and all its shops are a ten-minute walk away.

Plage du Porigo beach by Boulevard des Emigrés is a sandy beach located near the port of Plaisance marina of Port Haliguen. It is appreciated for its sun in the morning and its orientation on the Bay of Quiberon which protects it from the west winds. This family beach is supervised during the months of July and August and has a launching pad for fans of sea outing. An armchair for launching people with reduced mobility is also available at help station. Showers and toilets are nearby.

A historical event worth mentioning again happened at Port Haliguen, At 02h15 (2:15 a.m.), on the night of June 30 to July 1, 1899, Captain Dreyfus, arriving from Devil’s Island on the cruiser Sfax, disembarked at Port-Haliguen. To avoid any excess, the authorities made it appear that this landing would take place in Brest. Dreyfus was immediately taken by special train to Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande, from where he reached the military prison of Rennes, while awaiting his second trial (August 7 to September 9). Which eventually absolved of all charges, In Port-Haliguen, a plaque commemorating the event was placed on the Quai des Sinagots in 1932. Still there.
